McCormack#I was sold on this the second i saw the cover. Anton rodgers and nyree dawn porter in a love triangle farce? Borrowed wives and secrets#From rich uncles? I mean how much more charming can you get?? Sadly quite a bit more. This was fine but i think i got over enthusiastic#Cast aside it has little to recommend it. Oh rodgers and Porter are as adorable as i expected (I've never seen her so young! I honestly#Dont think id have recognised her if it wasn't for that unmistakable voice) and genre faves like hallett and browning add to the fun#Warren is good fun too. He'd not long moved to the uk and begins the film with a highly suspect very english accent but bits of his own#Australian voice start to drop in. But a good cast cannot always a good film make. The story is just too flimsy. The script is amusing only#At intervals. And the happy ever after ending really does stretch the boundaries of belief. Add to this a frequently intrusive and far from#Subtle score and a few underdeveloped sight gags and you get an underwhelming whole. Ho hum. It was worth it#If only to see baby anton and baby Nyree and at least at 67 mins it doesn't outstay its welcome. Not a memorable experience sadly
