NEW MUSIC. COLDPLAY — HIGHER POWER - SINGLE. #ASTÉTICASradio
So now we’ve had some time to digest Reputation, what’s everyone’s thoughts? Favourite songs? ______________________________________________ My Review: This is definitely an album you have to listen to in-full at least once to understand the narrative of it and to appreciate the songs singularly, especially the singles released prior to the album release. They’re all enhanced within the context of the album. Reputation is so different to any of her past work. I still maintain that this album can’t and shouldn’t be compared to her past albums as the sound, mood, themes and maturity level is completely different and I think by comparing them, it’s discrediting her past music which is still so amazing and valid in it’s own way. This new album is unique in it’s own league and f*cking BRILLIANT. As with past albums, my favourite songs always change with my mood and personal situations but I really enjoy all the songs so far. Within this album I found myself gravitating to the songs written by Taylor & Jack Antonoff as I found them more intricately detailed and personally relatable. At the moment, the songs I’m LOVING are: Dress, King Of My Heart, This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things, Call It What You Want, Getaway Car & I Did Something Bad. I’m sure that @taylorswift and the producers on this album probably won’t see this post but they nailed it and I rate it 10/10, would recommend to a stranger on public transport. • • • • • #reputation #taylorswift #jackantonoff #shellback #maxmartin #taylurking #ts6 #rep

So, I’ve always loved this song, but I’ve never internalized the lyrics 🤯🤯 This song is DEEP. Swipe to look at the lyrics. This song is talking about their fan’s love for them at a surface level, but when you break down what they’re saying, wow. So they’re saying “Can’t you see how your love’s affecting our reality. Anytime we’re down, you can make it right and that makes you larger than life”. It’s just the word choice here is so interesting. “how your love’s affecting our reality”. They really love their fans, we’ve changed their lives forever. Also, #MaxMartin wrote this song and if you know, you know. If you don’t know who he is you really need to go google him LOL he has written the soundtrack of our lives (if you’re a 90’s baby). https://www.instagram.com/p/CIWoRokF6w8/?igshid=zpz0bbnimwz4
