2. least favorite color(s)?
Pepper doesn’t have any colors she hates. She has however never been a big fan of pink. She never saw the motivation behind having it be the girl color, she was practically throwing up pink growing up. From bubble gum pink to hot pink, she used to have a boyfriend in high school who always wanted her to wear pink and ever since she left him, she always avoids it. It just reminds her of the girl she used to be. Plus hot pink is just not for redheads.
12. favorite scent?
Pepper can list her favorite scents as being: The scent of her children when they were babies, that heavenly scent of milk and baby lotion. Tony’s shampoo and cologne, how it clung to her hands every time she ran her hands through his hair and how she could smell him on all of his shirts. Other less significant scents that she enjoys are the smell of freshly cut mint, the smell of the earth after it rains and the smell of permanent marker.
18. worst thing you’ve ever tasted?
Hands down the time Tony tried to cook her dinner, his cooking skills weren’t anywhere near his machine making skills. He’s gotten a little better since then, but Pepper will never forget how foul his first attempt tasted. Don’t remind him, it’s still a soft spot.
25. are you a good hugger?
Pepper didn’t originally think so. She still doesn’t exactly think so. For Pepper hugs do not come as naturally as they do to others, her hugs have to have meaning behind them and they’re reserved for people she is really close to and cares about. Prior to her children, the only person who she really hugged was Tony and with Tony, she offered herself like a rock for him to rest on. Hold on to. Wrapping her arms around Tony and trying to fix anything that was broken.
With her kids, however, she feels that hugging her children is a whole different kind of hugging. She wishes there was a word for it. Pepper remembers the way she held her children against her chest from their very first breath to the last time she forced them into her arms despite their groans. Pepper can’t exactly describe hot it felt to embrace her children and dip her nose into their hair, smell them and feel their warmth against her. There’s something spiritual about holding her children, that’s coming from a woman who isn’t very spiritual, that’s as best as she can describe it.
30. have you witnessed any “miracles” or strange coincidences?
For Pepper being able to fall in love, marry and have children with Tony Stark, well that’s a real miracle if there ever was one. All jokes aside, Pepper likes to think that her life changed due to A) a strange coincidence and B) a whooooole lot of lady smarts! Finding that accounting error brought her to Tony Stark, who brought her the love of her life, that gave her children and it was all history as we know it. Whatever is real or isn’t real, Pepper is still thankful for everything she has or has had in her life.
