Sukie felt wrong. Her ring was malfunctioning, and she didn't know who she could run to for help.

The last time it was like this she was heartbreak. She didn't want to become heartbreak again. The corps wouldn't help her, if she complained they might mind control her.

Her feet dragged her to Max's house, seeking the comfort of someone she loved.

Her ring felt heavy in her pocket as she knocked on his door

Max was at the door in a literal flash, opening it and immediately smiling when his eyes landed on Sukie.

He pauses slightly when he notices her expression, tilting his head slightly.

Sukie hurried down the street. Her jacket pocket was weighed down with a bottle, and some food. She found Maxwell, her eyes widening.

Max smiles brightly, there’s cocaine smudged under his nose and he’s just sorta slumped against the brick wall of the alleyway.

Sukie knocked on Max's door, worried out of her mind for her partner

Max groaned, forcing himself out of bed and stumbling to the door. He was so glad Jason wasn’t home to see him like this.

He pushed the door open, smiling childishly at Sukie.

Sukie hummed, walking around the alleys she'd found Max a few days before. She couldn't keep him out of her mind, and despite knowing that they'd be seeing a movie together sometime soon she wanted to talk to him again.

Eventually, she ran into Max.
