Yeah I think its getting close to their canon personality
This IF officially lives rent free in my mind. I'm learning how to crochete and all I could think of was: what if the stray asked Bela to teach them how to knit? What if they gifted Bela something they knitted? T-T
First of all: ahh I crochet too, it's so soothing, I love that you are learning to crochet!
Bela would make space for MC at their side and teach them, very patiently - since MC probably doesn't have their fine motor skills working all that well - and looking at every little thing they manage to accomplish with pride.
But if, perhaps after gruelling weeks/months of learning, the stray presented something they made to Bela, they would irredeemably melt. Like Error 404.
100% it becomes one of Bela's comfort items. They snuggle with it and scent it and keep it in their mouth.

OC-tober, Day 29: Climb
Thanks to @oc-growth-and-development for putting this on!
A screech left Harry’s throat as he found himself falling—no, plummeting—through the air. The air at this height was icy cold and the altitude made it near impossible for him to catch his breath.
In a fit of panic, Harry reached out—with his magic, with his body—for something, anything to slow or halt his descent.
Instinct forced his wings out—or rather, just one side of them. It did nothing to slow his descent, only bringing excruciating pain as the fall forced his solitary wing to twist.
Harry let out another panicked screech, desperately calling for his nearest Bonded, the one who had been in the portal with him.
He caught a glimpse of metallic rainbow out of the corner of his eye before a pair of strong, lithe arms wrapped around him. Then there was the strong beat of wings and the sensation of climbing, instead of falling.
Harry gasped and turned his neck so he could bury his head into a cool set of armor. It took a few minutes for his breathing to slow and to adjust to the altitude, but when he did, he let out an unhappy warble.
He received a sharp, equally unhappy trill in response. A heartbeat later, the pace of their climb quickened.
Despite the numerous Quidditch matches he’d played and all the time spent on a broom, Harry had never experienced being higher than the clouds.
There was an entire city in the sky, the brunet realized. One more ornate and towering than Nevarah itself.
“Where are we going?” he demanded of Minh as they climbed higher and higher through the air, into the highest parts of the tall city.
Minh didn’t answer at first, but his arms tightened around Harry. The Submissive twisted his head to look up at the Gheyo’s face. There was a stricken look on the Air dragel’s face and a near wild look in his green eyes.
Harry shivered and turned his face back into the Gheyo’s armor. None of that was reassuring.
“Home,” Minh forced out when he registered the trembles. “Now hush. You’re fine.”
For now.
OC-tober, Day 27: Anniversary
Thanks to @oc-growth-and-development for putting this on!
“My family wants to have a hundred day celebration for us,” Minh said carefully, shifting slightly uncomfortably. “Given how everything started.”
Idan made a strangled sound at the back of his throat. “Again?” he asked.
Minh’s ears pinked. “It’s tradition,” he protested, ducking his head to butt it against the Queen’s chin lightly. “And my Mera really liked Harry. She wants to do something special for him.”
“Everyone likes Harry,” George teased lightly and pressed an apologetic kiss to the tip of the brunet’s nose when Harry let out an embarrassed whine. “What’s a hundred day celebration?”
“Congratulations, you survived your first hundred days together,” Idan drawled before Minh could answer.
Wikhn snorted into his morning tea and his eyes danced wickedly as Hadrian started to rub at his temples. “Sounds fun,” the Dark Fae remarked.
“That’s seriously a tradition in your family?” George asked.
“Military Clan,” Minh muttered, a small pout appearing on his face until Idan kissed it away.
“It does sound fun,” Harry said, agreeing with Wikhn. “Would we have to do anything special or to prepare for it?”
“Have tea with my parents a couple of times beforehand,” Minh replied.
“Tea or tea?” Idan muttered.
“Informal tea,” Minh corrected, making a face. “Once preparations start, we’re past the formal tea stage. You should know that.”
“I do not know that,” Idan returned. “Considering everytime I get summoned for tea, it’s a formal tea. It’s been twelve years.”
“That’s because they have to summon you,” Minh said. “If you just went once a month on your own volition...”
Idan merely huffed.
