Title: Fun & Games
[AO3]
Square Filled/ Ship: Melinda May/Skye Jonhson
Rating: T
Tags: fluff, pranks, established relationship.
Summary: Daisy is bored and May is busy, until Daisy comes up with a suggestion that May can not pass up.
Word Count: 907w
Created for @mcukinkbingo
Sneak-Peak:
They don’t usually have slow days to experience how limiting it can be, but right now it has been three days since their last mission and Daisy feels that she will die without something to do. Literally, die. Forget about Hydra and the Watchdogs, what will finally succeed in taking down this mighty superhero is utter and dreadful boredom.
It doesn’t help matters that she is dating the epitome of a killjoy.
Here are my card and my masterpost. I’m accepting prompts for it and also for my MCU Bingo Card.
Hey, @loved-the-stars-too-fondly, I was your AosPosiHoliday Exchange Partner! Excuse me if I hadn’t been as much of a positive partner as I could have been, but I hope this gift makes up a little for it!
Take this sinking boat and point it home
[AO3] {Romantic MayDaisy, rated T, ~4.8K}
Summary: Being a Vigilante is not easy, and much less is to do it alone. When May comes bearing medicine and cookies, Daisy can not resist the care and the company, and can't help it when the comfort turns into something more.
Sneak-Peak:
“Have you come to tell me that I should stop this and come back? Because thanks for the medicine and your dedication, but if that’s your goal you have been wasting your time.”
May places the cup on the ratty table, and Daisy recognizes the look on her face as Let’s talk business, then.
“I don’t think I have ever told you to not do something just because.” She makes a pause, and Daisy feels the heat raising on her cheeks. “I might disagree with your choices, but you are an adult, and each of us copes in the ways we can. I’m not here to tell you to stop; I’m here to tell you that if you are going to keep on doing this, you have to be smart about it.”
Her hands start shaking, and Daisy doesn’t know what would be more embarrassing for May to witness: her being incapable of controlling her powers or her being incapable of controlling her emotions. She hides them behind her back, and deflects.
“Aren't I keeping you from important things on base?”
Where a regular person would say Yes. No. Yes, but- , May only says, matter-of-fact, "Yes.” A pause. “But I’m an adult too, and I get to choose what I wanna do, too.”
(This also fits the ‘love’ prompt for @aosadvent2017 and the Daisy-center focus of this month challenge at @aosficnet2!)
✎+ Daisy & May teasing
“Wow. I can not believe that I’m seeing this with my own two eyes. What happened to waking up at 5 a.m. for tai-chi, um?”
May covers her eyes with her arm, containing the desire to put her pillow over her face. Or throw it at Daisy’s face. Or something.
“When I said I deserved a full night in my own bed, I also meant a morning in.”
“You keep telling yourself that, mom.” May groans at the kind-of-pet name; she needs to do something with her mouth to help her not to grin. “But you say that and I hear that you are too old for the job.”
She is not wrong, in a way. And May knows she is voicing real concerns in a teasing tone. There is a truth there that they all- and herself especially- will need to face, and soon. But today is not that day. So she does throw her pillow at Daisy, who catches it in the air with a shit-eating grin on her face, places it under her arm and straight up leaves. With May’s pillow, and without paying any heed to May’s threats behind her.
“I still can kick your ass!”
