i know Chilchuck didn't told the team about his daughters at that point but I think a set up where HE is the one eaten by a dragon and Meijack joins the party has a lot of potential.

Something like, Chilchuck having previously left instructions to Laios in case of his death and Meijack (or is it Mayjack?) being like, in town to visit her dad only to find out about what happen to him...

Falin, Marcille and Laios talking with her and Senshi about Chilchuck, Meijack struggling to fit her dad shoes as the locksmith of the team, slowly re-bonding with her dad through the bits she hears about him through the adventure...

Also, the dynamics! The easiest one is Senshi, with whom she can grow a father-daughter like bond while also dealing with her own feelings towards her real dad. She probably would be nicer to Laios when it comes to his facination with monsters BUT would still feel exasperated by it when she feels like they are wasting whatever time they have left to save Chilchuck. Marcille and Falin... it would be funny if they became something like, the gay aunts who help her find out her own sexuality kjjj.
