Haruka: back when we were in school, My husband always always forgets to eat when he studies. I always made sure to make him lunch. And during that time not ONCE did he think that i did it because i liked him as more than a friend.

Mayl: wow… it really does run in the family. I tried taking him out on a date with a couple’s special and lan just… winked at me. I mean it made my heart stop afew times, ut did he seriously not know it was a date?!?

Haruka: did you tell him it was a date?

Mayl: *blushing like a tomato dunked in paint* n… no

Haruka: well there’s your problem!

Haruka: You have to be direct about your affection. It took a while for me to gain my courage, but I was eventually very upfront to Yuirchiro about how I felt

Mayl: How did you do it?

Haruka: Took him by the shoulders one day and basically said, "I like you, you dumb nerd!" He got really red in the face after that hahaha!

Mayl: Oh, well, that is quite direct...

Roll: Even if you did do that, I bet Lan would still be too thick to understand...

Mayl: Well, at least I won't have to worry about him confessing with puns

Mayl: it's been a while since I heard from Roll, I know she's on a coffee date with Megaman, but she usually checks in on me by now

Lan: now that you mentioned it, Megaman has been real quiet too. That's kinda suspicious

Mayl: you think they're in trouble?

Lan: no. I think my big brother is up to something

Mayl: like what?

Lan: like planning to meddle

Mayl: why would he meddle with us? We're only drinking boba?

Lan: he's Megaman, he'll think of something I'm sure of it

Mayl: I think you're overthinking it Lan

Lan: No, if anything, Megaman overthinks. He actually assumed I’d drink more coffee just because I decided to drink an expresso once

Mayl: He just gets worried about you, and he’s justified in a way

Lan: What’s that supposed to mean?

Mayl: You do have a knack to get yourself into trouble

Lan: Megaman’s no better. Besides, I may get myself into trouble but I know how to get out of it too. That’s skill!

Mayl: Or reckless behavior

Lan: I’m daring! Isn’t that what girls like?

Mayl: Are you trying to impress girls now?

Lan: *blush* N-No, not necessarily… Just heard that was a thing girls did like is all…

Mayl: Well, I can’t speak for all girls but…I think a “daring” boy might be pretty cool

Mega: Mayl was. Lan tried at least…

Roll: He’s just not used to the action yet. Look how red he is! Awww~

Mega: Are you sure I shouldn’t go and give him advice? I might be able to come up with the boba puns

Roll: No, no, let them move things on their own. Meddling isn’t a good idea right now…

Roll: terrible, she took a pause on the blanket and decided to try to crochet a plushie instead since they're said to be more easy to learn

Mega: isn't that good?

Roll: yes and no. You see learning how to make the magic ring in the beginning is, well, a bitch. She struggled a lot with it

Mega: but she got it now, right?

Mayl: yeah, but not without being kinda mad at Lan

Mega: what did Lan do now?

Roll: nothing bad, he was just able to make a magic ring on the first try when Mayl showed him what she struggled with

Mega: so Lan is in the doghouse because of that?

Roll: yup! Mayl is usually such a calm person, but I guess her pregnancy makes her a bit more impatient and stuff

Mayl: *pouting*

Lan: Hey, come on, i said i was sorry

Mayl: You shouldn’t be sorry… I should be! *tearing up*

Lan: Nooo, don’t cry! You didn’t do anything!

Mayl: I snapped at you in frustration and you don’t deserve that! You were just trying to help! Waaah!

Lan: ACK! Mayl it’s okay! You can yell at me all you want, I don’t mind!

They hug while Mayl cries into Lan’s shirt

Mayl: (angry now) No! I will get the hang of this, mark my words! And it’ll be better than yours!

Lan: Don’t worry, my crocheting days are over!

Mayl: yeah, but I don't think it's for me.

Mayl: I know my dad is from there and I have family there, but it's so far away from here. From my home, friends and well *blush*

Lan: *smirk* me?

Mayl: yeah. They have good schools in Netopia, but I don't think it's the right school for me honestly

Lan: I get it. If I were in your shoes I would think the same thing

Mayl: oh? It's not because every time you go to Netopia something weird happens?

Lan: I swear, if I stay there longer than a week a new evil organization pops up!

Mayl: Maybe if you do stay there longer than a week, it would end up being normal

Lan, ticking off his fingers: Mugged, attempted murder, staged kidnapping, real kidnapping, food poisoning, spiked drinks, and constant jet lag… Let’s face it, Netopia is not for me

Mayl, giggling: Yeah, university here is more doable for someone accident prone like you

Lan: Not accident prone, danger magnet. And you better be careful, little lady. If you hang around a guy like me, chances are you’ll attract danger as well

Mayl: I can handle it. As you say, “challenge accepted!”

Mega: even if he has a good plan for university, he still doesn't listen when I tell him to do his homework

Mega: he waited 15 minutes after I told to do his homework yesterday. 15 minutes! And all he did those 15 minutes was nothing!

Roll: I'm pretty sure he was messing with you

Mega: doesn't matter! He should do his homework so he can make those plans come true!

Roll: Maybe Mayl will help whip him into shape, especially if his plans involve her and their future

Mega: He…didn’t mention Mayl last night though

Roll: Eh? He didn’t say whether he’d marry her?

Mega: N-No… We mostly talked about college and his career. He didn’t mention marriage… B-But that doesn’t mean he won’t—

Roll: Mayl mentions marriage all the time! They have to be on the same page or it’ll be disastrous!

Mega: They’ve only been dating a couple of weeks, Roll. They’re still teenagers! Marriage talk is too soon!

Roll: But they still need to talk about it though!

Lan: I think I got Megaman off my back about college

Mayl: Really?

Lan: Maybe not, he still wants me to cram for exams 24/7

Mayl: He’s not wrong though. You need to make sure you get good test scores if you plan on getting a docorate

Lan: Don’t worry, I have a plan. Our future is secure don’t worry

Mayl: Ooh, our future is it? Heehee *wink*

Lan: *blush* U-Uh, I mean, uhh…yeah? Th-That’s where this was going to go right? Unless you—

Roll: Yes

Mega: That makes sense, though I think you’re a lot cuter than them

Roll: Aww you think so? Why’s that?

Mega: Because no bunny compares to you and your beauty!

Mega: See?! Puns are funny! And they can be romantic! What is Mayl thinking?!

Roll: I don't know, sweetie. Humor is subjective, though, so Mayl and Lan subjectively aren't into punny jokes

Roll: I understand how you feel... Honestly, Mayl finds Lan to be funny in different ways, like his...behaviors, I guess?

Mega: Wait, so she finds him funny when he acts like a gremlin?

Roll: Yep. She also once told me she thinks his cursing is "endearing" too, which I love her to death, but I just didn't understand her way of thinking on that one

Mega: She thinks him cursing like a sailor...is endearing...?

Roll: Yes...

Mega: ......And Lan says you have no standards

Mayl: so me and Lan started talking about shoes the other day, and it ended up on the topic of high heels.

Roll: really now?

Mayl: and he, being him said; "I don't get why people isn't able to walk in high heels, isn't it like tippy toeing around all the time?"

Roll: he didn't?

Mayl: he did. So I challenged him on trying some high heels and see if his balance is so great

Roll: did he accept?

Mayl: it's Lan, so of course he did

Roll: let me guess, he fell flat on his face?

Mayl: surprisingly no. He has great balance, but he did end up complaining over how uncomfortable they were to walk in.

Roll: huh? I thought for sure he would fall

Mayl: I guess all his roller skating has given him a great balance.

Roll: probably. Wonder if Megaman is able to walk with heels too

(Lan has a good balance, fight me)

I miss writing for MayLan so I’m gonna write this scenario out (context here is they’re teens and dating)

Lan: (in the heels) Well yeah the toe pinches and the back scrapes against my ankle like a bitch, but they’re not that bad. Not good for running though, so if you’re in a dangerous situation wearing these, ditch them

Mayl: Noted

Lan: But I don’t really understand what you girls mean when you complain about walking. I got it down just fine!

Mayl: I’m actually jealous. It took me a few tries to get the hang of walking in heels, but here you are walking like a natural

Lan: What can I say, babe? I’m just that good!

Lan does an exaggerated runway walk

Mayl: *giggle* You’re such a goofball

Lan: *strikes a pose* But a hot goofball, right?

Mayl: I agree. I hope Megaman and Roll are okay. We're getting back later than expected...

Lan: *snort* Watch them be in the living room waiting up for us like some overprotective parents. Or at least Megaman will. Roll will probably just be sitting next to him rolling her eyes at him

Mayl: More than likely, haha

They open the door and turn the lights on, only to find Mega and Roll making out on the couch

Mega, pulling away from Roll: Lan! Mayl! Uh, umm, do you two have any idea how late it is! We were so worried!

Lan: Yeah so worried you had to make out with your wife to cope...by the way, that shade of lipstick is not your color

Mega: *blushing hard as he tries to wipe Roll's lipstick kisses off his face*

Roll: *hiding her embarrassed and blushing face from them*

Lan: Oh come on, you two have been married for years, quit acting like you were just caught by your parents!

Mayl: *trying hard not to laugh* I'm glad we're not the only ones who had a successful date
