With your eyes closed, your lashes kissed the apples of your cheeks as small snored escaped your parted lips. The covers clung around your body tightly, keeping you warm throughout the night. Your hair was matted against your forehead. You had no motivation to get out of bed and let yourself sleep through your alarm clock.
"Honey?" Your mother's voice was heard, but you were unable to respond, deep in sleep. She walked further into the room and gently pressed her palm against your shoulder. You nestled deeper into the pillows and let yourself sleep.
"You've gotta get ready for school. Your alarm's been going off for ten minutes," She spoke a bit sternly. You remained still beneath the blankets. She released a soft breath in defeat and shut the alarm off, exiting the room. She seemed to have given up on getting you out of bed, so you let sleep consume you.

Ethan was forcing his sneaker onto his foot as Benny came rushing into his bedroom late that morning before school.
"Have you seen Y/N? She didn't stop by this morning," Benny's pupils dilated as he watched Ethan quickly tie his shoes.
Leaning back up to look at Benny, Ethan hummed and shook his head, "Maybe she's sick."
Benny shook his head, "She always calls me if she's staying home sick."
"You think something's wrong?" Ethan raised his brows.
The tall, skinny brunette shrugged but in his eyes it was easy to read over his worries about you. The two of them scurried down the stairs with their bags slung around their shoulders and exited the Morgan household. The two of them walked along the sidewalk, towards your house.
"Maybe she just slept through her alarm, she does that a lot," Ethan suggested as they crossed the street to the small house you lived in. Benny released a gentle sigh and knocked on the front door quickly.
When the door opened, revealing your mother, she offered them a small grin. "I tried getting her out of bed, she wouldn't budge," Your mom let them enter the house as Benny and Ethan both walked in.
"I'll go check on her, E," Benny looked to the shorter teen and scurried up the stairs. He walked down the hall, to the white door at the end of it. The door was cracked as he gently pushed it open with the pack of his palm. Your eyes were still closed as you laid under the covers, overtaken by slumber.
Benny watched as you slept, the room was filled with the aroma of dirty laundry. His eyes diverted to the clothes that were scattered across the floor and the crumbled pieces of paper that sprawled out on your desk. He released a gently breath and walked towards your bed. He could tell something was bothering you, despite simply being asleep. He sat against the edge of them bed, making you groan gently at the sudden dip in your mattress.
"You okay, Y/N/N?" Benny asked in a whisper.
You hummed in response and pulled the covers over you tighter, ignoring his question. He pulled his lips into a thin line and stared at you. His lanky fingers reached for the blankets and slowly pulled them off you. Your body was exposed into the cool air of your bedroom.
"Benny," You whined and sat up in your bed, your hair was a complete mess and your skin glistened with oil in the reflection of the sun's rays.
"What's going on?" He asked quietly, concern overwhelmed his tone.
"I was sleeping and you disturbed that," You huffed, tasting the morning breath that tasted against your tongue.
"Y/N," Benny gave you a knowing look, raising his brows.
You looked at him for a moment and sighed, sitting against the edge of the bed. "It's happening again," You whispered, shamefully.
Benny parted his lips and looked at you with ease. He cleared his throat, not wanting to say anything that would offend you, "You mean a depressive episode, right?" You nodded in response and stared at your lap, picking at your nails.
"I just wish it would go away," You picked your head up to look at him, noticing that he moved closer to you. Your eyes glossed with tears as your chapped lips parted gently.
"It will," Benny gave you a thin smile, hoping that it would ease your distress. You released a shaky breath and felt a few tears slip from your eyes, rolling down your cheeks and to your chin. He hated seeing you this way. You fell weak and Benny took notice of this, which caused him to wrap his arms around your shoulders and pulling you close against him. Your face rested against his chest, overwhelmed with tranquility in his embrace.
Benny held you tightly and dipped his chin down to speak to you more intimately, "I've got you, Y/N/N. It's okay."
