a little mc blue x solomon drabble because i can't stop thinking about this chat.

980 words, suggestive at the end.

Blue had an exhausting day at the House Of Lamentation. Today the brothers seemed to be, well, more brotherly than usual; there was so much bickering, fighting, name-calling, that ended up culminating in a food fight that ended up with Beelzebub punching a hole through the kitchen wall. But not a fist-sized punch; he almost tore down the wall that connected the kitchen to what used to be Blue’s room back in their original timeline. And when Lucifer got home and noticed the state his brothers and attendant were in, Blue feared they might all get hung up from the ceiling. However, the human wishes it would’ve been that simple; Lucifer ended up lecturing all of them for almost two hours, until he got sick of it and let them all go, letting Blue go home a little earlier than usual.

Blue sighed, the overwhelming memories of a difficult day filling up their mind, as they made their way back home by walking.

Home.

To the only one who seems to get them, Solomon.

Blue sighed again, this time a sigh of relief, as each step they took led them closer to his comfort sorcerer, the human couldn't wait to rest on his arms as they both cuddled to sleep.

But Blue could have never anticipated what would be waiting for them when they get home.

The black-haired human opened the entrance door of Cocytus Hall, their hands struggling with their keys as they were slightly shaky from today’s accumulated anxiety. Blue closed the door as soon as they got in, their back resting against the door and their eyes closing as they took a deep breath. Something smells funky, they thought, but decided not to think too much about it. “Solomon, I’m home,” they announced.

Blue opens their eyes slowly, as they don’t hear a reply. “Solomon?” the lesser sorcerer asked, their voice a little louder this time, as they took their coat off, hanging it near the entrance.

“Oh, are you home already, Blue?” Solomon’s voice was sprinkled with a hint of surprise. “I didn’t think you’d be home so early.”

Blue squinted their eyes for a second, trying to make out from which room Solomon’s voice was coming from. They felt their body freeze on the spot as they finally made it out. “Sol.” Blue’s voice was filled with concern. “Are you in the kitchen?” they dared to ask, after a few seconds of silence.

“Yes, I am.” He replied. “Um. Actually, could you wait there for a second or two? I’m almost done.” The white-haired human asked, as Blue could listen to his agitated footsteps, the smell on the air now distinguishably burnt. Blue couldn’t help but run into the kitchen, and they were left speechless as they saw the picture painted in front of them: the kitchen walls were painted in some red and black goo, a pot filled with boiling hot oil still resting on the stove, the flame turned all the way up, and Solomon’s face and shirt were covered in the same red substance. Blue quickly made their way to the stove, turning off the flame that was making the pot of oil boil furiously, the remains of a burnt, undistinguishable material sinking at the very bottom of the pot.

The brown-eyed human stared at Solomon in complete disbelief. Of course they knew that the sorcerer’s cooking was bad, but this situation seemed a little extreme, even for him. “Sol.” Blue repeated his nickname. “What in the Devildom happened here?”

“I…” Solomon tried to speak, but was visibly struggling to find the right words. He took a deep breath. “I was trying to surprise you. You mentioned the other day how much you missed chilaquiles, so I decided I would make some for you. However, I didn’t think about the fact that we’re stuck in the past and I couldn’t find a proper recipe, so I tried recreating them by memory, but, um, I guess I got a few steps wrong.” He admitted, his cheeks slowly turning a bright shade of pink.

Blue’s eyes softened at Solomon’s confession, their body relaxing a little. “That’s... very sweet of you, actually.” They muttered, reaching out for a napkin and cleaning a little splash of the red substance out of his cheek. “So, this is the sauce, I’m guessing?”

“Yes, it is.” He whispered, his cheeks now burning deeper. Blue couldn’t help but laugh.

“Fine, I’m not mad. But please, we gotta clean up this mess.” They demanded. “And, by the way, you’re officially banned from the kitchen.” The shorter human stated, in a serious tone.

“But—”

“No buts.” Blue interrupted him. “This can’t happen again, Solomon. I love you, and I appreciate the gesture, but you’re kind of a menace in the kitchen. I don’t trust you around that much oil.” Blue chuckled as the both of them started cleaning, with Solomon ending up doing most of the job.

“I’m gonna make you change your mind.” He stated, confidence in his tone as he washed his hands. Blue couldn’t help but giggle.

“I really don’t think so. You’re banned forever, remember? Now, let’s go, you gotta get some clean clothes.”

“Will you help me change?” he asked, a playful smirk forming on his lips.

Blue looked up at him, rolling their eyes as they laughed at his antics. “If that makes you stay away from the kitchen, then, yes.” Blue teased back, as they dried their hands with a kitchen towel. “It’s a deal, then.” Solomon declared, the grin on his face growing wider.

Blue felt a smile starting to form up on their lips as the both of them made their way back to Solomon’s room, keeping their promise of helping him take his clothes off, as long as that’ll keep him away from cooking ever again, or at least, to make another attempt for the night.

random soloblue headcanons because they live in my head rent free. 💭

solomon loves singing to blue, he knows how much they love the sound of his voice and takes pride on it. he's always humming, singing in the shower, in the kitchen, while doing chores, whispering songs to the other human's ear while they both lie in bed, helping them fall asleep.

it took both of them some time to admit to themselves that they were in love with the other. for solomon, it was hard to think about falling for someone after many years of living and having enough of losing people. he tries to keep his distance from other folks–humans, angels, demons–but something had drawn him into blue. perhaps it was the way they were always followed by the seven brothers what made him curious about them; he still isn't particularly sure. for blue, it was hard dealing with their own feelings for the brother's, especially belphie, so it took them a bit to realize they liked solomon, too. but when blue got sent home after the main game's first season, solomon started visiting them in the human realm, and they started spending time together, alone for once. so, they started knowing each other better and eventually noticing they were falling for the other.

whenever they have some time to spare, solomon would ask blue to teach him how to paint. blue is a former art student, and back before they first arrived to the devildom blue used to teach painting lessons to children, so they've got enough practice to deal with solomon's lack of knowledge about painting techniques. blue has been into art for pretty much all their life, since their mother was also an artist, so he likes to bond with them by painting. he's not very good at it, though, as he gets easily distracted by the sight of blue's focused face as they paint, but he hopes he'll eventually make something blue would be proud of.

after all the time they've known each other, blue still hasn't had the courage to tell him his cooking sucks. blue knows cooking for others is his love language, so they really don't want to upset him, but they do everything in their power to not let him take over the kitchen. however, blue has to suffer indulge him every once in a while, even if it involves having a stomachache later, nothing beats solomon's smile when blue takes a bite of his food.

they both love cats (blue more than solomon, though). they've talked about adopting one, but the only thing that's stopping them is the fact that they're always involved in some kind of shenanigan and therefore, they're not home enough and wouldn't be able to take proper care of a cat. also, blue fears satan would steal it.

speaking of satan, Cat Groupchat™️ gatherings are a must from time to time. satan being blue's best friend and a very dear friend of solomon, the three of them enjoy spending time together, going to all kinds of coffee shops (and a lot of cat cafés), bookstores and art galleries.

they both love horror movies! horror movie date nights are one of blue's favorite activities.

blue calls solomon "sol", obviously because his name is solomon, but also, blue's first language is spanish, and since sol means sun in spanish, sometimes solomon would call them "luna" (moon), they're the moon and the sun.

still on the topic of astronomy, they have matching sorcerer wands; since solomon's has a star on top, he brought blue one with a crescent moon on top.
