So, I'm actually not going to go too far into the lore on this one tbh. The concept is of how the devotion of love surpasses the physical body and continues on into the celestial one of the soul.
"No matter who I am, no matter where we are, I will love you."
The characters in this piece are my two mains, Kitt'n and her older brother Mark. They happen to be my oldest OCs - having been around since I was a little child - and, as such, there is a lot of different symbolisms and little nuances in this one that would probably take a whole book to explain.
Suffice to say, Kitt'n was a prophecy child, though no one knew it - as the histories of her culture were long since lost to the cruelties of life. Mark was a Great Sage, a polymath in the truest of terms. He saw the brilliance of his little sister, saw she was something greater and made it his life's work to find out why that is. Became obsessed with it.
It ends tragically. Kitt'n ultimately dies in his arms but he can't let her go - can't let her life and her potential go to waste. He searches for the cure to death and he finds it, but at a cost.
In the end, his inability to let her go damns them to repeated eternity.
And it becomes the one lesson he never learns, because he can't lose her - can't let such a beautiful light fade away. The world doesn't get to take her and let someone like him live. Not a devil like him.
