It was exhausting. Notes: For the @samstevebingo2022 prompt “Found Family.”
Sometimes Steve thought about how their lives had managed to become even stranger, more unstable than they were before.
Bouncing from motel to motel. Chasing leads where they could. Covert check-ins in Iowa, San Francisco, and Wakanda. Staying three, four, five steps ahead of Ross and his goons.
It was hard. It was exhausting.
And yet, as Steve laid awake - Sam sleeping soundly in his arms, Wanda and Nat in the room next door, and as certain as he could be that the others were safe, too - he couldn’t regret his choice.
They had each other.
That’s all that mattered.
Title: This Love of Mine, My Valentine AO3: Part of “SamSteve Bingo 2022 Moodboards” Rating: General Warnings: Alcohol, Food Relationship: Steve Rogers/Sam Wilson Word Count: 40 Additional Tags: Moodboard, Microfic, Fluff, Valentine’s Day, Valentine’s Day Fluff, Candy, Roses, Slow Dancing Summary: N/A Notes: Made for the @samstevebingo2022 prompt “Valentine’s Day.” And yes, I know that I’m either extremely late or extremely early with this topic, but it’s what we have to work with. *shrug* Title from “My Valentine” by Paul McCartney.
Sam chuckled, shaking his head as he grasped the red wrapping paper clad gift that was soon to join the flowers and boxes of candy beside him. “Baby, this is too much.”
Steve smiled softly. “Not for you, it isn’t.”
I JUST REALIZED SCOTT NEVER GOT TO SEE STEVE AS NOMAD THIS IS A CRIME
Bahaha! For real.
But honestly, can you imagine if Scott had? Any shred of plausible deniability Marvel had left regarding his sexuality would’ve evaporated.
Not that there was much to begin with, but y’know.
Oh! Actually! This reminds me, during the promo for EG there was a big press conference with most of the cast and filmmakers. (You might’ve seen pics and such making the rounds on here.) Anyway, at one point someone asked them all to raise their hands if they prefer Steve bearded or not bearded and Paul Rudd raised his hand for each option. XD
So, basically, yes, we were robbed.
Title: Star Crossing Lovers Relationship: Scott Lang/Steve Rogers/Hope Van Dyne, Scott Lang/Peter Quill, Carol Danvers/Hope Van Dyne, Steve Rogers/Thor Rating: G/General Warnings: None Additional Tags: Everyone Is Poly Because Avengers, Stars, Long-Distance Relationship, Puns & Word Play Notes: For the @marvelpolyshipbingo constellation/free space. My particular constellation was a triangle with a line coming off each angle. I also have a fic in the works for this, but since it wouldn’t be done in time, I had to go with plan B in the meantime.
So, okay, none of them planned for their other partners to be super-superpowered and constantly traveling the vastness of space, but that wasn’t gonna stop Scott from making puns about it every chance he got.
Title: Trick Or Treat Or Sleep AO3: Here Relationship: Scott Lang/Steve Rogers, Cassie Lang & Steve Rogers, Maggie Lang & Jim Paxton & Steve Rogers Rating: G/General Warnings: ENGAGE MAXIMUM FLUFF Word Count: 245 Additional Tags: Happy Steve Bingo, Ficlet, Digital Art, Kind of, Moodboard, Fluff, Tooth-Rotting Fluff, Family Fluff, Halloween, Trick or Treating, Dad Steve Rogers Summary: Maggie gave him an eager smile. “So how was your first trick-or-treating?” Or, Scott and Cassie fall asleep while trick-or-treating and Steve carries them home. Notes: Written/made for the Happy Steve Bingo prompt “Trick or Treat.” Also, titles and summaries are the bane of my existence.
It was not a dark and stormy night, but it was cool and misty. Purple and orange and sometimes sickly green lights helped keep the dark at bay. Laughter from the older kids candy hunting until curfew scattered throughout the air.
And despite how long and busy the day had been, Steve’s footsteps were buoyant as he climbed the front steps to Maggie and Jim’s house. It felt like the perfect end to the day. His stepdaughter on his hip, her sleeping head resting on his shoulder and his husband in his pocket.
He wanted to help them make the most out of the day, to make up for lost time. And if their sleeping forms (and the veritable mountain of candy back home) were any indication, that mission had been a complete success.
Maggie and Jim greeted him with careful hugs as he entered the house. She gave him an eager smile. “So how was your first trick-or-treating?”
“I think it went well,” he said softly, unable to hold back his own. He placed Cassie’s ghost bucket on nearby table, “Don’t worry, the rest is at our’s.”
“I take it Scott is, too,” Jim said after he took Cassie gingerly from Steve’s arms.
“No, he’s right– ” Steve patted his chest and stopped. His pocket was empty. His stomach dropped. “Scotty!”
A quick rustle of wrappers and Scott popped up over the edge of the bucket, clutching tiredly to the top. “Are we home yet?”
