"Weary blue eyes gazed out upon the distance catching a glimpse of the orange and red hues of the setting sun in the distance causing a soft smile to tug at her lips. For the past three weeks the water dragon slayer found herself sleeping alone in the quiet woods or the pungent musky run-down taverns that littered the small towns to lick her wounds from a hard day's battle. Yet, having wrapped up pursuing a dark mage and bringing them to justice she was finally free to journey back home to finally earn some well-deserved rest. Her body was battered and covered in scar and bruises and her feet ached; however, she trudged on through the city street until a small familiar house came in view. Relief washed across her features catching a glimpse of a shadow leaning against the doorframe; however, a bright smile crossed Rayne's face knowing fully well just whom was awaiting her. "Laxus!" She called, stumbling forward and picking up her pace as her walk turned into a run. Laxus pushed himself away from the doorframe soon enough, his own lips starting to grow into a wide smile upon seeing her home in one piece. Certainly, he knew she could handle herself; however, he was always the first to worry even though he wouldn't openly admit it. The soft glow of the setting sun illuminated his face as he reached out a hand towards the woman as she drew near, her smile tugging at his heart strings. "Laxus, I missed you so much!" She muttered soon enough reaching, arms spread wide and ready to embrace her lover. The blonde stepped forward grinning broadly, eyes taking her in and extending a hand out to her. "Welcome home, Rayne." My love. He said softly, arms encasing her body to embrace her. "I missed you too." He muttered barely audible into her neck, breathing her in. Don't you ever leave this long again without me. He thought holding her close and shutting his eye. After all, his home was with her."
