i've heard that you're going out with a certain girl by the name of jane asher. can you tell us more about her?
Oh, Jane? Well, she’s a lovely girl, really. Very talented, very clever, and she’s got her own thing going on, which I think is important. She’s an actress, and a very good one at that — not just because people know her name, but because she actually puts a lot into what she does.
She’s in quite a different world from mine, really. It’s nice, that. Jane’s also very funny, which helps. You need that, especially with everything being a bit mad at the moment.
But yes, she’s wonderful. I’d rather not make it sound like I’m writing a review of her, though. She’s a person, not a magazine article. She’d probably tell me off for making it too sentimental anyway.
So there you are. Jane Asher: talented, funny, and much more interesting than just “ Beatle Pauls girlfriend,” which is probably the most boring way of putting it.
