YOKOHAMA, Japan — Matt McCarty shot the best score of his young PGA Tour career and was never more disappointed. Are the McCartys and Wrights related? Because homedude’s hella invested in a teenage girl. Yeah, it could just be subversion of the carefree rocker/delinquent trope that he earnestly cares for these teenagers he liquors up, but his want for Jess to survive makes me wonder if they’re supposed to be like third cousins or something.

I mean, their dads both run stores, relatives who both went into retail. One focused on guns and the other general products.
