can I just say something. I think Lo is almost certainly intended to be Black. in appearance and the fact that his VA James Brown Jr. is Black and almost exclusively voices Black characters in Aphmau RPs (Rhys, Mr. Moore from PDH)
the problem is almost all Lo fanart I’ve seen draws them with straight or wavy hair and/or no effort to portray black features.. I assume not everyone recognized his coding but it is kind of the most obvious conclusion to come to. and it is upon us to portray Black characters properly in art. can we do better

Did things change since then in this regard? Also cant wait to see Ein as a villain in this au..what youll have in store for him (lately I've been consuming your ein posts)

Okay, I'll do each meeting seperately
Lio - He has technically been considered a pest in the castle. He has been living in the castle in snake form for the past month or so and many of the staff has been trying to catch him. One day he sneaks into Liliths room on accident and Lilith, who was lonely as hell, started talking to him and he listened. He vibes with her secretly the next few days until Lo breaks it, and Lio turns human-esc to defend her.
Lo - She is a rather well known thief in the Ru'aun who had been targeting a lot of Nobles homes to not just steal wealth but to steal information. She's from a village destroyed by Tu'la forces and is stealing info to see which lords are secretly affiliated with Tu'la to fuck them over. Her latest gig was breaking into Aphmaus manor and unfortunately chose to sneak through Lilith's room only to be wrapped up by a snake man
Kai - He has been working as "Alina's"/Lilith's tutor for a few weeks and is at his wits end why some days "Alina" understands the material and the next Alina knows nothing. He was going over his lesson plan to TRY AND FIX IT until he hears a large CRASH in "Alina's" room and RUSHES only to see the weirdest sight.... and to hear the thief say "Oh look, the banished Prince! That makes things easier"
At that exact moment Lilith's disguise amulet falls off and it is a WHOLE ASS MESS! After some quick negotiation, the 3 adults come to the conclusion that they have to keep Lilith's secret as well as trying to meet her (reasonable) demands. Cause all three of them know what it's like to have their life stripped away by forces out of their control. Kai remains her tutor and manages to bring Lo on as an etiquette teacher/nanny (as Zoey has her hands full with Alina and her magical growth spurts) and Lio..... well he becomes Lilith's pet/guardian. They fully sneak her out of the castle often.
Now, as for how the main cast feels about Lilith being used as bait, they all hate it but understand the necessity. Unlike my original verison of this AU where Lilith is disguised the moment Alina was born, this one takes place after multiple kidnapping attempts. The worse one actually scarring Alina, a cut on her wrist as they were trying to harvest her blood for a spell to open a realm portal (doesn't work). It is terrifying and the Aphgang had to come to the understanding that they had to do something to not just protect Alina but the realm... and Lilith is less than a year older than her. It had to be done.
Out of guilt from not being able to protect Alina they actually hyper-focus on her... and it has the side effect of making them feel better for their actions to Lilith. It is a VERY morally gray situation unfortunately.

It’s the fact that it’s been five years since Aphmau uploaded an MCD episode, yet I can still remember the overarching plot and the overwhelming disappointment that we didn’t learn more about Liochant and Lo.
