Lo was a noble in tu'la - my thoughts
First off, Lo comes from an arranged marriage. Hes an only child. We see this multiple times in mcd with royals, Nicole is an only child from scaleswind, levin was aswell, aswell as fenrir. We never see an arranged marriage outside of that. (If im wrong feel free to correct me)
Secondly, Lo can fight. Lo explains that he has never been a guard and only ever a villager. He joined skystead after the villages merged, never taking on any higher role and instead focusing on the girls welfare in the village.
Not many characters can fight, especially not villagers. Those with a decent background or in a bad enough place where they have to learn are the ones who do. I highly doubt lo comes from a bad environment especially due to his large amount of money and equipment.
Speaking of money, lo blows cash like its nothing. For many villagers this is a hard thing whereas for Lo at enkis island he buys nearly an entire store, bought new clothes before that, got his dress tailored ect. The man has alot of it, sure it could be from his time as a maiden in jennas mansion but, he mentions that the girls are paid scraps. Thats why he needs to step in to make sure they can complete work - so they get every last penny. Lo has no need for it.
Lo also seems to have great sense of predictability, but only for Jenna. For aphmau and the guards he couldn't tell a single thing, just that aphmau was a good person. During the prison scene aphmau asks what jenna will do to them, lo tells her shes most likely going to kill them. Something hes right about, every move jenna makes he seems to be able to predict. Aswell as being able to guess aphmaus move with what she will do with his girls, knowing they will be safe with her he immediately accepts the help.
Lo is a liar. We already know that Lo itself is an alias, but constantly through his dialogue he changes how he knows something. Ex: He claims he never heard of the phoenix alliance island before and then talks about knowing his girls will be safe there. He also pretends not to know who aphmau is, He later admits he recognised her from the rumours of her being irene. Lo absolutely could hide more about himself, especially due to the fact his entire backstory seems to have been cut off.
All of these things are what a noble could have, knowing that the king of tu'la was a tyrant - specifically for war itself. Meaning lo would be as good as a fighter as he is for WAR! he wields multiple different items and knows how to use them in the most efficient way possible. This is relevant as tu'la is considered to be the most advanced in weaponry - relying on weapons and armour alone as they are a primarily tribal region.
