My humble two cents on the finale
It turns out that I feel OK with the episode, it's action packed and thrilling. what I don't feel OK is where this will lead us I guess. I am very happy that Max is alive, but nope, I am not happy and dare I say mad at Rachel (well actually the writer) for pulling the custody shit again. As I have said again and again, I don't want to dislike her, but the way the show uses her, it just doesn't make her very likable! I hope Danny to fight for Grace, to stand up for what he wants. I was hoping that the TPTB will get tired of this Danny/Rachel material, but it seems that that's not gonna happen based on this article ( http://tvline.com/2012/05/15/hawaii-five-0-season-2-finale-review-questions-answered/ ). To be frank, I understand why Chin chose to safe Malia, not because he doesn't love Kono, but he knows Kono's ability (she is a champion surfer for god's sake). Furthermore, I am starting to think that the TPTB deliberately introduced Adam and Kono being a couple just for this. Chin couldn't call Steve/Danny but he was free to call Adam and have him go to Kono. On the other hand, only he can save Malia. And based on that article, it seems that Malia is going to be dead or in coma. *sobs. ( Sigh, haven't Chin through enough already? Why on earth does Lenkov see the need to break him down and build him back up? ) And this leads us to where Catherine comes in as a replacement for Chin to take care about the tech part when he takes care of Malia. That's the only way I can think of blending Cath in orgically, as Lenkov had said. And Steve and his mom. I would hope for that's not really his mom, but her twin sister. At this moment I don't see how Steve can still do his job whilst knowing his long lost mother is hiding somewhere in Japan. The other reason I hope that's not his mom is because I fear that she will be killed off again later in S3. If that's the case, I don't know how Steve will survive. I mean, he is a human, not a fucking robot! You can not break him down always and expect him to pick up where he has left off. With all that said, I guess I just hate seeing Steve suffering anymore...................
