5: Talk about the best birthday you’ve had.
I’ve never actually had a very good birthday. My birthday is October 11th and so it always falls on Columbus Day weekend which means kids are always away with their families and because my dad was sick when I was younger, we weren’t really supposed to have kids over the house. None of my friends remembered my birthday and it wasn’t until my 16th birthday that my Mum (who also forgot my 11th birthday) noticed that fact when she drove me to school that morning and saw me walk in to school with my friend who didn’t say anything to me except ask what last night’s math homework was. But that night when she got home from work and she put the cake out from Market Basket (the one that’s just down the road from me so it was nice and fresh when it got here) and the Chinese food we had ordered in was all finished she brought out my gifts and she put in front of me a little wrapped rectangle. I didn’t think much of it before opening it, I hadn’t asked for anything that year and when I opened it and read the gold lettering on the black binding I burst into tears. It was a first edition copy of The Catcher in the Rye which had been my favorite book since I was 13 years old and I had read it so many times my paperback copy’s binding was falling apart. I stayed up until 3am reading that book carefully as to not hurt a delicate page in that precious book. That was my best birthday, I think.
11: Talk about the best dream you’ve ever had.
I never remember my dreams, really. I don’t think I ever sleep enough to have dreams, but I do remember one dream where it was my wedding day and I was getting ready and all that jazz and all of my friends were around me and it was lovely and wonderful but I didn’t know who my husband-to-be was?? Like it was some sort of arranged marriage kind of deal and I was some sort of Princess Consort and he was the King of some far away land and we were to be married but I had never seen his face and as I was walking down the aisle and reached the altar and he was turning to see me I woke up and I never got to see his face WHAT’S THIS BULLSHIT tho I believe this is #KITTYHOULT2020
32: Talk about a place you remember from your childhood.
Okay so I grew up in Hopkinton, Massachusetts and there was a lake down the road from my house. The Lake was my favorite place in the ENTIRE world as a kid. I used to spend each and every single day out by the water swimming and playing with the local kids who lived even closer to the lake than I did. It was my favorite place in the entire world and sometimes if I close my eyes I can still feel the water hitting my toes as the sun sets while my Mum and Dad are packing up our Honda CRV from 1998.
