I fucking hate funko pops, I hate funkos figures, i hate how ugly they are, I hate how brittle they are.
I put a bobblehead item in my mod that makes you explode when you die by falling, much like a funko figure falling more than 2 feet.
little snapshots of a mod i have been working on for a few days, cenozoicraft, understandably based around adding cenozoic animals to the minecraft world along with neolithic tools. its heavily based around hunting and utilizing animal parts. most of what is here is tamable and rideable with fun little taming mechanics, so dont expect to be able to waltz up to a smilodon. more to come soon
Tin blocks... Blocks made of tin...
(Tin ore in stone, block of tin, 2x2 cut tin, 5x5 tin tile, tin trapdoor, tin door, stairs and slabs for all of them, tin armour on a stand, tin ingot, raw chunk, nugget, axe, shovel, and hoe in item frames, and a tin golem.)
So what IS Mccreator anyway? Meaning, what does it do, how does it work, and what do you like and wish to do with it?
MCreator is a java workspace. At its absolute base, that's what it is - it writes java code, specifically for Minecraft! Instead of a typical workspace where you would have to create every individual file and write every line of code, MCreator as an interface adds a whole bunch of buttons for frequently made requests, and functionally translates all JavaScript to English. Select "New," then "Block," give it a name, then select a bunch of attributes you want for it. Does it have a rotating texture? Is every face of the block the same texture? Is it slippery? Can moss grow on it? What tool should be used to break it? What sound should it make? Boom, here's your block. Want that to generate like an ore for you? Just gimme some Y values and I'll get it where it needs to go. It makes modding minecraft WAY more accessible, and is also why videos about new viral mods seem to keep happening; when there's a trend, MCreator makes it easy for inspired people to jump on it.
If you want to make a simple mod, you just can! It can even do way more complicated things - I mean, there's literally a button you can press to make a new biome or dimension. Absolutely UNHEARD of in the 1.6.4 days (when I learned to mod minecraft).
And on the other hand, it's Minecraft.
Minecraft is not coded well. It is coded very badly. It is hard to make minecraft do the things that you want it to do. And so, jumping into learning modding with MCreator, you are still faced with the same problem; it is HARD to fix it when something is wrong.
Anyhow, I have a couple of projects in mind, one for when I'm very comfortable with the process and one for messing around and adding fun little features for my modpack. Problem is that one of those fun little features is hitting one of those spaghetti snags.
Hit "New," "Living entity," tell me what it's called, hit the checkboxes for rideable, controllable, and tameable, and voila! Silkmoth you can ride!
Hm? Oh, no controls for up and down movement? That's easy, just set up a keybind so that when you press space, the moth goes up, and when you let go, it goes down! Have it check what kind of mob it is and if you're riding it, it'll work just fine!
Oop, now they don't wander around anymore. They have no thoughts unless you ride and control them. Why not? I dunno! Maybe you should make it conditional? I mean, you can also tame them, but you can ride and control them without being tamed. You should fix that!
This eventually spirals into me with my head against my desk, a moth that won't move no matter if it's ridden or tamed or not, like fifty different checks for if it's tamed and if it's ridden that don't work, and eventually surrendering to the concept of waiting for a WIP plugin meant to allow the latest version of MCreator to mod version 1.20.1 Forge because maybe using the most recently available coding tools will help.

Creating a cursed Minecraft resource pack Day 1 and 2
A mod that introduces Beautiful custom wings with Elytra-based flight!
Filed under 'Mods I absolutely can't fathom don't already exist' (At least not in the capacity I wanted)
Basically made this because the Wings mod STILL doesn't have a 1.18.2 port, and I don't use Fabric so I can't use the Icarus mod either
I will say off the bat tho these wings' flight are Elytra-flight BUT at least you can have Pretty Decorative Elytra while you soar through the skies! \o/ Download on Modrinth above!
