Honestly while I can see the merit for either draconequus or changeling (though I’d be curious to hear more about your preference for the former?) he’s actually neither in this AU! The MLP comics feature this kelpie interpretation that’s essentially a pony made out of water that can stretch and move like a liquid. AU!Eel O’Brian is essentially one of these but he’s been contaminated by an oil spill (which is partially a metaphorical thing with his old life of crime but also sets up fun comic book logic of oil -> plastic). When he gets doused with chemicals/?maybe potion? and becomes Plastic Man he turns into sort of an oobleck-adjacent plasticky substance that gives him solidity but maintains the stretchiness.

I'm so glad you haven't abandoned the Batman mlp au. Any ideas for my boy Robin/Richard Grayson?

He’s actually next in line to be posted! His art is fully ready I just need to actually sit down and write out his info + I think I want to finish Alfred & possibly Barbara to be posted at the same time. Jason, Tim, Steph, and Damian also all have concepts/designs but they’re all at varying levels of unfinished, as is most of the core Justice League.

Here’s some quick fun facts to tide you over:

MLP AU Grayson is named Stonespark, Spark for short.

The batfamily (including robin and later nightwing) continues the pattern of disguise and obscurity in their costumes that batpony introduced. Spark is a pegasus, but the first Robin is thought (by the general public) to be a hippogriff.

Spark has a grey coat and feathered wings, which when combined with the red chest and yellow accents of his robin costume gives him a pretty fun, literally robin-y look (as in the bird).

Really cute detail in that first sequence I have to point out: Double Stuff imitates J’onn’s punches while in his chest cage.

Funnily enough I think this comic actually did come out around the same time as Security Breach.

...Now that you mention it though, the full title for that specific famous issue with the cover of J'onn on his Choco throne is actually "Revelations Five: Double Stuff" and the story where J'onn's cat happens to be introduced in gets pretty meta with the way it interacts with J'onn's past publishing history, so I would not be surprised if the name is actually a reference to that exact issue (which is delightful).

On a Watsonian level though it's definitely just because the cat is fat like a double stuff cookie and J'onn likes Chocos (equally delightful).
