I love doing these i hope they will stay on tour forever so i can keep doing these forever too. Yay. Under the cut 🙏
FIRST SET
(Before Draag National Anthem)
[Projection Guy]: Hello my friends, and good morning. It is another beautiful day in Draag. A chance, once more, to get things right; and push beyond our best. So, rise with the sun, and take your medication. Here is your schedule for today, and we will start by observing the Draag National Anthem.
(Before sharpest lives)
[Gerard]: Good news. We’re The Black Parade. Sometimes… sometimes… sometimes… sometimes… thank you for having us.
(Before WTTBP)
[Projection Guy]: The humourous thing about learning to be what you hate, and learning to do what you fear, is that someone you’ve been your whole life doing something you’ve always been good at could feel so entirely new. That brutality, so second nature, could feel so alien, so foreign to you; it’s astounding to witness firsthand. So let’s remind you, for a moment, exactly what you are and the thing that you do best. The lesson is, a man knows how to forgive, but a leader knows how to instruct. And since, through pain we learn, let’s be student then be a teacher. Now, take your place, use your words, and produce for the crowd a respite.
(Before Cancer)
[Narrated from Charlie reading a postcard]: Hello from Gubrick. It’s really not that bad here. You don’t notice the smell after a few days. Sadly, there’s nothing I can do for you. All my love, Dad.
(Mama interlude)
(Dagger part)
[Gerard]: We’ve been away for a while! We’ve been away for a while, but we’re back. Spent a lot of time in the M-O-A-T. Sometimes only porridge, sometimes only grey water. But we’re back in action now! Do you know what I say to you all here tonight? Gelt. Gelt. This is ‘hello’ in the MOAT, gelt. Gelt. You know, you learn so many songs, so many songs down in that cold, sunless fucking prison. Well, here’s one we love to sing late at night.
(Introducing Sylvia)
[Gerard]: Oh my god, that was so much fun! Oh my god, that was so much fun! We’re gonna have more fun. We’re gonna have a lot more fun right now. You see, in the MOAT, they take really good care of us, you know? Where there’s really special programs, they only pick a few people for! Maybe more than a few. Gimme a sec—one two, three four—yeah, like, four. And right here is someone very important with us, and that’s head nurse Sylvia. And she never hits us, I swear, and takes very good care of us! She’s gonna make all our pain go away. She promised. Would you like to help us allow her to take all our pain away?
(Mama outro)
[Gerard]: Head nurse Sylvia, I think we’re ready. Thank you so very much. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah!
[during big sky]
[Projection Guy]: There is a planet, so it spins. And it’s moving so fast, it’s not worried at all. Very busy. People, people hurry. And the child, who has the chalk, and sang: let me sing. So we see them. We say, let me see who loves you. And the chalk, it moves in circles. Many circles, great big circles! Hugging arms and smiling eyes! And we tell the child, let’s subtract, and again, and, what if we subtract them all? Who is left to love you? There is only the hands that wipe the chalkboard clean.
(Before Sleep)
[Projection Guy]: And I feel, all this time you are making drawings someone else must now erase. But I’m glad that we are friends, and that now you understand—this is the worst day of your life, but the first day of yourself.
(Before Disenchanted)
[Projection Guy]: Come close, my friend. I see you. But, no, we’ve never met. They gave to me a picture, and I’ve had it quite some time. In fact, before you said a word, I’ve always heard your voice. Have you heard mine? That makes me smile. There is one last seat, and one more ticket. It’s hiding in your coat. Yes, you. You’re here. So take your seat, get comfy. Here is my hand.
(Before Famous Last Words)
[Real Boy]: A figure sits in a chair made of wood. And it’s sobbing. You think it’s you. You’re pretty sure it’s you. But it’s weak, it’s broken. And it’s covered in gasoline. Now, picture yourself, lighting a match.
SECOND SET
(Before skylines)
[Gerard]: [gravelly growling] First song, Mexico!
(Before na na na)
[Gerard]: [gravelly voice] There is a city. That runs on batteries. [normal voice] Mexico, let’s go!
(Before to the end)
[Gerard]: Fuck yeah. We’re gonna make it moody—spooky real quick. Cause this is the part where I wanna talk to you. What I do wanna say, with no lights on me, before we start this next one… we’re called My Chemical Romance and we’re from New Jersey. This song’s off Revenge.
(Before foundations)
[Gerard]: Gracias. Thank you so much. Gracias. Mis amigos y mis amigas. We haven’t been here in a long time, we’ve established that all throughout this tour, I think it’s been about eighteen years. We also established last night that this is where The Black Parade died, right across the street. Clearly they didn’t actually die, something else happened for, like, a few hundred years. That’s my opinion. Happy Valentine’s Day! We have a lot of people to thank, I wanna start with one of the greatest rock and roll bands I ever laid eyes on, from putting on my turntable—was probably a CD at the time, was like the early 2000s, but, anyway, please make some noise for The motherfucking Hives. We love having them out, we wanna thank them very much, true fucking gentlemen, and we’d love to do it again anytime. Same with us always, Jarrod Alexander on the fucking drums. Jamie Muhoberac playing keyboards. We met on Black Parade and I have very, very fond memories of making that record and meeting Jamie for the first time, was really amazing. We’ve got to become really close friends over the years. He and I and Doug were really close friends. And please make some noise for our auxiliary band, who played the Long Live, and then this one doing medical staff, that’s Clarice Jensen, Kayleigh Goldsworthy, Tucker Rule from a band called Thursday, and also plays in a band with Frank called L.S. Dunes with other lovely fucking people. And, uh, never got to say his name til now, it’s weird ‘cause we’re in a foreign country, but Rob Sinclair, thank you so fucking much for everything, this is—the—truly incredible work of you. He’s been quite the collaborator. With all this crazy sh—he was the one that actually, um, he kinda convinced us, like, ‘cause we couldn’t do the B-stage, and we couldn’t do the stuff from Long Live, he was like, let’s just make a whole new show. We said okay. Really glad we did. Claire Vogel, our director. Who we love very much, we met all the way on Danger Days. We’re so proud of you and you do such amazing work. Juice and the crew, he’s been with us for a very long time, five years, he’ll be leaving us, but we love him very much. I have a whole list. Just relax. I wanna thank the cast and the crew. Is that a cassette, or money? I don’t know if I want either. What is it? It’s a note? Man, I can’t be doing that. Someone will give it to me. Um, please make some noise for the cast and the fucking crew, first ones here and the last ones gone, so many on tour with us, we thank you so much. The very best, Brian Schechter. Thank you, Brian Schechter. And happy Valentine’s Day, my love. This one is for you. Más luces, perhaps? Gracias.
(Before sing)
[Gerard]: Fucker! Fucker! Fucker! Fucker… Fucker! Last night I saw the saddest pyro team ever, and that was our pyro team, ‘cause they couldn’t blow off all this fucking pyro we had. They were really happy tonight. And we were really happy too. This song is off Danger Days.
(Before planetary go)
[Gerard]: Gracias. We’re dancing tonight. It’s what’s on the menu, you know?
(Before destroya)
[Gerard]: (Gravelly voice) Who is your god? Who is your god? You are not god. We are not god. (Normal voice) I’m not feeling too good. I’m not feeling too well. Not feeling too good. ‘Cause I think I’m sick. Sick! Sick! I’m sick! Woohoo!
(Before heaven help us)
[Gerard]: My love is here with me, and last night she said the crowd was fucking dynamite. This crowd is fucking dynamite too. Just both fucking amazing crowds. Thank you so much. Think the weirdest thing about doing, like, the BP story set, character set, is that I gotta, like, pretend that we’re on Mars, and you guys are Martians, or just not there at all, so, the B-set is really fun, ‘cause i get to say, hi! How you guys doin’! Hey! We got the puppet, you wanna use the puppet? Alright. Fuck the puppet right now. Man, my hair’s doing this weird shit ‘cause it’s got all this blood in it. I don’t know, man. Brush is gone—oh, it’s right here. So, um, we really wanna, we got a couple more, but we really wanna play you this B-side off Black Parade that we love so much and everyday, I think all the B-sides, we, like, really just wish we put all of them on the record, you know? Um. I don’t know, there’s just weird shit back there that I don’t know what to deal with. (Whiny voice) Oh, it’s too long! Oh, there’s too many songs! How long are your songs? More than three minutes? They’ll never play that on the radio! Will never get that played on Myspace! (Normal voice) Anyway. Uh, if you know the words to this, sing along. This song’s called “Heaven Help Us”.
(Before Helena)
[Gerard]: Beautiful. One more chance, Mexico City! To sing with us, but we’ll start with this.
