Subconscious racism is really fucking bad, like, my partner and I both were less interested in Ray when we first got into MCR, didn’t recognize him for his genius, joy, beauty, etc. and focused -way- more on Frank and Gerard.

What’s important is that we both recognized our racist thoughts for what they were and have since been actively working against them.

If you’re raised white you have racism threaded through your whole life experience and it is your fucking responsibility to pick those threads out, examine them and then cut them away.
