A collaboration between McDonald’s Singapore and local seafood restaurant Jumbo Seafood saw the launch of two new burgers in celebration of SG60. The Chilli Crab Sauce Prawn Burger (<- click to see) I had tried earlier on and now for the Chilli Crab Sauce Chicken Burger. 🦀 See, I told you I will be back for the second round. 😁
Bought the Chilli Crab Sauce Chicken Burger Feast (S$11.90) set meal which included the Roasted Sesame & Seaweed McShaker Fries, a pie and a gassy drink, but I opted to change it to an Ice Green Tea (+S$0.40). Got mum an ala carte burger (S$6.95) so she can share the joy. The burger features a crispy chicken patty topped with fluffy scrambled egg and complemented with the signature chilli crab 🦀 sauce. I actually preferred chicken over the prawn patty as it somehow a closer match with the sweet and spicy chilli crab sauce. You can also buy a small tub of the chilli crab sauce for S$1 if you like the burger saucier.
For the Roasted Sesame & Seaweed McShaker Fries, a paper bag is provided to let you empty both the fries 🍟 and seasoning to give them a few shakes. The set meal comes with a pie, but I had to add S$0.20 to change it to the Pulut Hitam Pie. Imagine your favourite black glutinous rice porridge with coconut milk and palm sugar in a crispy pie crust. Sedap!
