heavy sigh. okay, so, it’s beginning to be a tradition for this fandom on tiktok to make posts saying that they’re worried about cc’s because of some thing they did that the fans deemed as “worrisome”. and on tiktok there was this clip going around of tommy holding up his hand to. crack. his. fingers. and people took that & said he was trying to sign to us that he’s in danger/that he is in an abusive home. yeah. this shit was on tiktok. i don’t even think i should have to explain why that’s wrong - because you all should know why that’s wrong, but i’m going to do it anyway;
tommy isn’t in danger. he’s fine, his home life is fine — i don’t even know why you feel the need to spread rumors that he’s in an abusive home, of all things — he isn’t in danger, & if he was that would be something he would handle with the people in his life. he has people he could call if he was ever in a danger position with his parents, he certainly wouldn’t be involving all of us in it. i know it, hopefully, comes from a place of concern but you shouldn’t fucking analyze every single thing he does & then come up with this elaborate theory that he’s in danger — he’s fine. he was cracking his fingers, which is something he’s done multiple times on stream. if he was actually in danger/in a situation like that, we wouldn’t know, and we don’t have to know, because it isn’t any of our god damn business.
there’s a place where you should be concerned, & there’s a place where you shouldn’t. worry is fine — it’s totally okay to be concerned about your ccs if you feel something is wrong from time to time, but there’s a very thin line between being “worried about their well being” & being borderline invasive of their personal life/spreading something that could be just “a concerned speculation” to you, but could do some serious damage if it got out far enough. be careful of what you say, especially if it’s on the internet. especially don’t make allegations about something so serious as abuse, even if it’s from a place of “concern”. you don’t know the cc’s, so it’s weird to pry into the little things they do — which, most of the time, mean nothing — and come up with theories on why they’re in trouble/why they need our help.
