*Gives Khan his concept art crack in his screen back*
Realized I haven’t drawn any Mnesos being evil in a while and decided to fix that
You know I actually at first didn’t know why I kept seeing Khan drawn with a crack in his screen at first I actually didn’t know that was apart of his concept art before I made Cami
I actually think they should have left it even though they changed the direction of his character. It tells a story that he may never tell himself, him only ever bringing up what the DDs did to Nori but never him could really be an interesting character beat (I mourn the lack of family angst for the Doormans) So I decided to give it back via Mnesos
I think it’s pretty obvious by now I’ve rewritten Khan, I find him to be a character that should have been used far more than just a side character he’s basically a gag character. But The Doormans are a very tragic family that is haunted by poor communication skills. Nori fakes her death (or just lets Khan believe she’s dead after realizing she’s alive) which leads to Khan being very emotionally studded putting up literal walls to avoid how scarring having to take Nori’s life was, which leads to Uzi feeling ignored and angry trying to make him face her and the problems they have. I honestly hate how these problems how never addressed and just kinda “fixed” by the end because really nothing changed I don’t see this family as stable.
So this where I use Ocs to fix writing decisions I’m unhappy with

Mnesos doesn’t just go after Khan because he’s jealous about Cami, or because Khan is in a position of power he can use but because how truly alone Khan is. Khan has taken every bit of anger and pain and pushed it deep down inside himself to ignore and Mnesos knows all of it the minute Khan lets him into his head
Mnesos uses everything against him
“You’re gonna go crawling to her (Uzi) for help? Do you think you deserve help after abandoning her like that?”
“If I can choke you out easily what could those things (referring to N and V) living your house do?”
“You were so brave to put her (Nori) down like that. Such a shame it made you into such a coward.”
Mnesos uses these memories to play with Khan’s fears and guilt using them to make Khan believe he’s unable to ask for help or tell anyone what this “new friend” is truly like. Mnesos craves control and it’s so easy to control someone that believes that they deserve it.
