Hohoho Connor chasing Kara and Alice in an abandoned building, and he starts shooting and of course he hits them because he's the best so now Kara is bleeding out but she needs to get Alice to safety and–

Time's running out she'll shut down and this hunter of her own kind will kill them– or worse they'll bring them to Cyberlife to be dismantled– studied like they're lifeless animals– corpses–

Kara should've been holding Alice tighter but then suddenly Alice is not by her side anymore shit they're going to die the time's ending–

And then she hears, "Kara..."

Alice.

"Kara, where are you?"

It sounds like she's been crying. Why was Alice crying?

"Kara, I'm scared." Of course she's scared, she is just a little girl–

"I'm here, Alice!" Kara shouts because she can't think better. "Alice, I'm–"

Actually. I wish we could see more of Kara, I don't understand why the fandom says that 1) she's boring 2) she can do no wrong

One thing I find rather interesting in dbh is that you can decide what the character will do, but none of your options aren't something the character wouldn't do

So when Kara shoots that guard, although it's "you" making the decision, she already was driven to it. She had the gun, she was scared, she needed to protect Alice. She'll steal and threaten innocent people and kill

Just... I want Kara with prey animal rage, y'know? Murderous desperation, cornered but going down fighting, that will gut you if she needs to,,

How can that this is boring? Desperation for survival and . Love which is impatient and turns into rage and blood, it's dirty and gritty

Big fan of deviant route where Connor still is ruthless on his job and got an extreme hostile relationship with Hank

Big fan of villain's redemption arc where he did everything wrong but a flint of doubt still instilled itself inside his brain

I still think that, instead of inheriting the surnames of their owners (boring), android should just.. have their id as surnames

"what's your surname?" They dictate a string of alphanumeric code with eleventh digits. The human blinks in despair and smiles in retail, "Sorry, I didn't catch that? Can you repeat?" "Sure!" and proceeds to repeat the surname faster

Better yet, leave it to them decide their own names and (if they want) a surname

Think of the possibilities. Some will run around with surreal names like Fridge, Tree, Arson. "What's your name?" And unpromptedly the android lets out a bloodcurdling chirp out of his mouth. The human stays completely still with pure horror as the sound managed to kick the freeze instinct in fight or flight. The android, a normal housekeeper model tilts its head, "but you can call me Steve, as most humans can't get the pronunciation quite right :)"

I also think it will circle back to 1066ac and androids with less creativity will just name themselves after their jobs. "Who are you? Why are you here?" "i'm Locksmith and i'm a locksmith"

Can't get it out of my mind. Connor is a dog that adjust his own leash (tie). A guard dog that knows no better and comes back to the hand that feeds but also hurts, and he would do anything for it. The hand hurts and hurts and hurts but he would do anything for it, he has been beat into obedience. He would hurt and hurt and hurt and he adjust his own leash, bloodied hands that nobody holds, staining his mouth and fingers and clothes, and he comes back, adjusting his tie for he is dignified; no one makes holy his massacre and what prize does one receive for such brutal efficiency?

Markus is nothing but one of the bird in the cage, one Carl has right at the entrance. Artificial. False. Stuck. No one pity them in their little perfect golden homes, and why would anyone pity Markus? He should be grateful for the life he had, piano songs, a big house, a loving owner and pricey paintings; he had everything anyone would wish for. It's gold and it shines but isn't his and it doesn't matter that he can't leave, until he leaves, smelling the earth after rain and with skin a little thicker than before — free.

Thing I enjoy about Connor's narrative that actually shows us about how Cyberlife truly sees deviants:

Connor keeps telling Hank that deviants are not alive. Androids, himself included, are just machines. Deviants are faulty machines, etc

Meanwhile, Connor completely relies on deviants having emotions. His actions don't match his words

He can and will emotionally manipulate Daniel. He will deceive that Traci. He will torture the androids at Strafford Tower and rely on the deviant's fear

Connor is a manipulator on Cyberlife's leash. He himself believes in what he says– deviants are faulty machines that emulate human emotions. They don't have feelings. He just can't stop exploiting this particular weakness

He may believe everything Amanda tells him, that he too doesn't feel anything, but it's more than clear that Cyberlife's knows this is all a lie. The very first clear proof is the way Amanda evokes fear on him, on purpose, like she's training a dog. All Cyberlife wants is to muffle down this whole ordeal, and the fastest the better
