Just a box of beans! These guys are test litters from my silver doe, rose, boris, and big red. One or two will likely stay (keepers from the silver doe have to be better than my hold back from the first litter), the rest will be processed at 12-15 weeks old.

Who's Due? ← keeps track of breeding, weaning, processing, all that good shit. I did pay for the premium thing otherwise you can't put in more than 2-3 rabbits and I have 10.
Rabbit Genetics ← Free genetic calculator. Great for beginners and more experienced breeders because is shows pictures and lists the alleles. Was free.
Additionaly I use Farmish to see if there are any local farms selling livestock.

Rex Rabbits are Perfect
Averaging around 9-10lbs for a Standard Rex, these rabbits are renown for their plush coats, described as feeling almost like velvet. Unlike other rabbits, they don't have guard hairs, all of the fur is the same length, making the fur thicker and softer!
Rex rabbits are multi-use rabbits, being as big as they are they make fantastic commercial rabbits and have a good meat yield. Having such amazing pelts makes their fur very valuable as well, and they also have a soft demeanor making them a fantastic option for pets.
They have a wide variety of color genetics making it possible to have a wonderful selection for pets & furs even if you primarily use them for meat on a homestead. Having a friendly demeanor helps to keep maintenance of the rabbits much easier and makes it much easier to develop a connection with the animals when they are not aggressive or standoffish
There may be some breeds that have a slightly higher weight or have bigger litters, but nothing beats the multipurpose uses that Rex's have. Treat your rabbits right and they'll be a loving addition to your homestead
