Shish Kabobs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish perfect for grilling season. These skewers are loaded with flavorful chunks of meat and colorful vegetables, making them a crowd-pleaser at any barbecue gathering.
Ingredients: 1 lb 450g boneless chicken or beef, cut into 1-inch cubes. 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks. 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks. 1 red onion, cut into chunks. 8 cherry tomatoes. 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1 teaspoon paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. Lemon wedges for serving.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Thread the marinated chicken or beef, bell peppers, red onion, and cherry tomatoes onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating between ingredients. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade mixture. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and the vegetables are charred and tender. Serve the shish kabobs with lemon wedges on the side.
