Aaaaaaaah I am SO sorry!! I know I said Sunday, but the chapter just keeps growing and growing while I'm writing 😭🙏

While chapter 20 is finished an waiting, chapter 19 is still being written as we speak. It's currently sitting pretty at 8k, but it's not entirely done yet. I will try my best to get it out asap though, but I don't want this to be a stressing experience, so I'm going to be more careful with predicting a release date from now on 👉👈

Just know that it's coming... soon... whenever it decides to stop growing, that is 😅 And then you will have your two updates like promised 😁👏✨✨

You're absolutely not a pain in the ass, I do realize that the schedule says "ca. once a week". Unfortunately, IRL has been kicking my ass as of late throwing in both chaos and a bit of heartache that has made it difficult to find time and motivation to sit down and write...

The oldest of my dogs was diagnosed with kidney failure four weeks ago and we were told the prognosis wasn't good in combination with his preexisting heart condition. So we had to set a date, this coming Monday, to let him cross the rainbow bridge to join his brothers before he started to have pains and other complications. As of right now, he's happy and active - though heavily medicated. So... Life has been chaotic and difficult. It's never easy to say goodbye to a family member, especially not one who's been with you for almost 14 years. But it is the right decision for him, and that's what's important. Handling both his illness and work has taken most of my free time though, leaving little room to write much. Chapters 19 and 20 were fueled by a sudden word dump that I wish I could tap into whenever, but alas, life isn't that easy XD The next chapter is coming though and is currently resting on 5.5k words. Thank you so much for your kind words! I just felt that Spider deserved better than what we got. Jake, specifically, disappointed me and the way they did Neytiri with her hatred... That's my girl, alright. I was so conflicted about her and the way she acted toward Spider throughout the entire movie 😔💔 Because let's be honest, it's all because of who his father is. There's been humans around her since she was a kid, she's even mated to one and have children with him. Her hatred stems solely from the fact that Quaritch is Spider's father and nothing else 😤 He's an innocent child who has no part in what has happened before... Ugh, sorry - I rambled away there 🙈🤭😂

Anyway, as for your question! We're actually going to see how that goes down in chapter 17! And let me just clue you in that our beloved little disgruntled angry kitty, is not a happy trooper (read: embarrassed as heck lol) It'll also be revealed what Neytiri did and let me just tell you again how that does not go down well for anyone involved 😇🙏 The next chapter will be from Quaritch's point of view too, so we'll get an extra little look into what's going on inside his head 😁👏

I'm a day "late" for my usual approximate posting schedule and still writing writing away on the chapter, but hopefully, I'll be able to post it some time tonight - at the latest, tomorrow.

I must admit, the 2160p web release has sidetracked my attention, demanding that I watch through atwow in 0.02x speed 😂👌🙈 And oh gosh, let me tell you, there's so much we've missed 👀👀

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for rereading Ma Miles - it really means so much to me <3<3 Quaritch is growing, he's trying his very best but after 51 years on the same track, it's not all a bed of roses, as we've seen lol He's trying though - for you and for Spider. With his unit out of the way and the realization that the RDA has ominous plans for the recoms, the transition is a bit easier than it would have been before. We're going to explore the reluctant friendship with Jake and Tonowari more as we're moving forward though, so that'll be fun XD I'm so sorry that it's taking me so long to get the chapters out though. IRL has been a bit too busy all of a sudden and I can rarely find the time to actually sit down and write. Hopefully, life will get less busy soon *crossing my fingers*
