Speaking of fun family reveals, I recall watching watching Seed at 14 and thinking Kira and Cagalli would make a great ship because Kira was going through stuff and Cagalli was helping him heal in a way that was such a nice contrast to his last girlfriend. But then they turned out to be twins and it was a whole song and dance of "Gasp!!!! They're siblings!!! Aren't you happy??? Yes we're siblings! We're not alone anymore yayyyy!!"

Show redeemed itself by making Cagalli and Athrun one of the best enemies to lovers ships I've had (blithely ignores destiny).
