OKAY SO first of all thank you guys SO much for all the support on my last Dispatch animatic, it kinda got way more attention than I anticipated and I'm so grateful !

I've wanted to make an animatic for this audio for a while, it takes me out every time I hear it. Originally Chase was gonna be in it instead of Flambae but I couldn't resist the car joke

I know it's kinda out of character for Robert to freak Waterboy out on purpose but I also feel like he'd go to extreme lengths to ragebait Flambae, so maybe this is an AU where he's kinda an asshole or something

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Having just finished Episode 8, my conclusion is that the game is fun, BUT:

I am rather disappointed how little interaction you were able to get with anyone other than Invisigal and Blonde Blazer. Not even just not able to romance (which I'll get to), but interact in general. You get several one-on-one scenes with those two, and a couple each with Royd and Chase, but almost none with the Z-Squad in the back half. What's Prism's deal? You never find out, you're never given the chance to chat with her. You only interact with Punchup, Malevola and Coup in group scenes, and everything else is just during Dispatch. I understand like limited resources or whatever, but I would have really appreciated like a break-room minigame or something where you got to just chat with your coworkers. As it is, this feels like a mobile game strapped to a movie with quicktime events. Still fun and entertaining, but I would have liked more (particularly for 30 bucks).

And then romance. Woof. Your only options (as far as I can tell, and please correct me if you've discovered otherwise) are Invisigal and Blonde Blazer. That's it. And they come on STRONG. Apparently I was in the 4% of players who didn't romance anyone, because I wasn't interested in either a) my boss or b) my employee. On top of that, was hoping for literally any kind of queer romance. Robert isn't written as specifically straight (you can make him like long cream-filled donuts for fuck's sake), and I see no reason why the player can't choose a gay romance. Waterboy and Royd are RIGHT THERE and they both have fantastic meet-cutes with Robert with high potential for romance, and it's just... never followed up on.

If there's going to be a season 2, please don't force players into straight romance. If Mass Effect could let you be gay a decade plus ago, there's no reason why Dispatch can't.
