New attempt at fanart for nesting box by @localgaysian, the Gelphie med au of all time ❤
love wins all | series ( satoru g. )
from childhood summers and petty high school banters, to the endless college lectures—med school and the chaos of residency, you've been through it all. you've built everything together. you're each other's home—everything. but what if your relationship breaks beyond repair? what if the one thing you couldn't save was each other? can your love still win it all?
neurosurgeon!gojo x trauma surgeon!reader
warnings. romance, heavy angst, hurt/comfort, hurt no comfort, fluff, medical au, established relationships, high school sweethearts, unresolved feelings, unresolved issues, grief, emotional repression, mutual pining, emotional trauma, childhood trauma, explicit sexual content | eighteen plus only!
status. on-going !
note. well, hi. i've been writing this for days. contemplating whether to post it or not but here we are. i've been in a gojo brainrot for months. literally, months. i can't stop. hahaha. anyway, some of the plot is salvaged from my previous fic. i can't stop thinking about it so here we are. i haven't been writing for long and i hope you bear with me. anyway, i hope you enjoy this as much as i love writing it. <3
table of contents.
one | meet the gojos!
two | favorite crime
three | still with you
four | this love
five | i bet on losing dogs
continuing the tradition of drawing weird aus for my birthday (which was yesterday, i'm a bit late this time)
anyway, i once played snape in a medical-themed rp and got many ideas which didn't really fit there because it wasn't a snack story, but they still live rent free in my head and i want to draw a couple of them
in this au sirius is a paramedic and severus is a world-reknowned neurosurgeon who has to rebuild his career after a big scandal
4 for med au?
Have you ever written a fic inspired by a tumblr post?
i'm sure i have! those ask prompts going around. probably in my agent carter days or ancient ff.net days.
i assume though that you meant number 3: headcanons for a fic (if you didn't sorry, i will share anyway)
so some of these may or may not come into later chapters (hehe) but
glinda wears contact lenses bc she has horrible eyesight but she also owns this like 300 dollar pair of designer frame glasses. she then steps on them but she has these really cheap horrible backup frames from like the ozmart vision center that she hates
glinda is obsessed with online shopping and she needs to have like 100 screens in front of her at all times (she's like an ipad child) but she'll put things in her shopping cart and then never check out and then months later when she goes back on that website she's like what the fuck?
elphaba gets almost all of her work clothes from uniqlo or whatever the ozian equivalent is. she thrifts her everyday clothes
elphaba is Known under the students for being extremely good at explaining things and people try to switch into her course blocks because she's just very concise and structured :) Glinda is Known under the students for being a bit of a mess but she'll explain things semi-well by going off on long tangents that always include at least 5 clinical anecdotes and/or case reports she's read
bestie this is completely unrelated except it sorta is bc doctorxdoctor is scrumptious except i cannot with med school so my go to is professors at the same uni who are married
i think you drabbled a bit about this before??? correct me if i'm wrong lol 😭
Oh that’s hot, too and I’m on board. I probably have 😭😭 but it’s a fantastic au, so I love it when ppl wanna talk about it. Some quick ideas for both that have been in my rotation lately
Some cocky new resident bursts through the doors to the office space where you, Levi, your residents, and a few co-workers typically reside, frantic, and demanding to speak to Dr. Ackerman. Levi only looks up from his notebook with a blank expression in his eyes to question, “Which one?” All of the kid’s confidence wavers, “Um... aren’t you Dr. Ackerman, sir?” Levi only shrugs, and points a weighted pen in the student’s direction, to an office door barely open wide enough to see a sliver of your profile as you type away on your computer, “Yes, I am, but so is she.”
You should have known better, or at least been a little more thorough—for someone completing their MD-PhD, you’d think you’d do a quick Google search on the guy you’re seeing at least once to see if anything important pops up—because Jaeger really isn’t that common of a last name. Because not only is your boyfriend of nearly a year the younger brother your least favorite TA/supervisor, he’s also the son of the medical director of the hospital you’ll be working at next semester; and word on the street is Dr. Carla Jaeger doesn’t take lightly to her baby getting hurt.
After taking residences in facilities nearly four thousand miles apart, Jean couldn’t care less about being a fully fledged doctor—the only thing on his mind is getting home to you, and never leaving. So, when he finally gets to your place, there’s not a single doubt in his mind when he drops his bags, cups your face between your hands, and asks you to move in with him.
Connie really needs to stop calling you down to his office for “urgent” matters concerning the x-rays and images of your patients, when his only urgent concern is that he misses you. And that the x-ray table was freshly sterilized, so if you wanna... relieve some stress, he knows a place.
Mikasa always had a soft spot for kids, and at one point considered pediatrics as a specialty. Even though she went down another route, she’s reminded of her love for children when Sasha asks for her to cover at her clinic for last few hours of the day. It reminds her that while doesn’t regret her speciality, but she does envy Sasha sometimes. So much so, that when she comes home to you later that evening, she can’t stop herself before she blurts out, “What do you think about adopting a kid?”

Post the last line you wrote and tag the same number of people as words
Thanks for the tag @telltaleclerk
This is from my Med AU that I keep adding characters and plot points to and I am dying every time I open a doc/season to write in. Haven't written anything in over ten days and I forgot what was my latest WIP I worked on, so you get the sentence from this AU:
Despite the years weathering him down, the salt and pepper hair, despite being barely shy over thirty, the bags under his eyes, the eye crinkles and the tan that was obviously not a Chicago thing, that man on the hospital bed in Trauma 5 was Gregory Boyington.

Med Au Snippet
“You could wear a cap you know.”
Lucas’s eyes flick to him immediately, looking surprised only for a split second before irritation slips over his features like an opaque veil. One side of his mouth pulls up in an expression too forced to be a smile. He produces his cap from his pocket, waving it with exaggerated flare but making no moves to put it on.
“Thanks for the tip,” Lucas smiles falsely, “but not all of us have hair we feel the need to hide.” His eyes move intentionally to what Eliott knows was a particularly haphazard attempt at taming his hair. The corners of Eliott’s mouth pull down and his skin prickles. It was a suggestion. That’s all. A simple suggestion to tame the chaos that is Lucas’s hair on a daily basis. It’s always falling in Lucas’s eyes when he bends down over patients. And while Eliott is hardly one to tell someone how to dress, ensuring some level of professional decorum – especially when interacting with patients – is hardly a lot to ask. But of course, Lucas rejects the suggestion like a personal insult, choosing to spend his days looking unkempt and – and, anyways, a childish insult as a reply is all too like him.
“Creative,” Eliott replies with an insincere smile of his own. “You planning on pulling my pigtails at recess too?”
“Ah,” Lucas nods, “so that’s what you like to hide under your cap, hunh? Knew you had the temperament of a twelve-year-old girl. Didn’t realize you had the hair of one too.”
“Wow,” Eliott scoffs, perhaps a little too loudly considering Mika is still leading the days pre-rounds and they’re surrounded by other, actually attentive surgical interns. “Not just immature but sexist too. What a catch you are.”
“It’s not sexist if it’s a reasonable observation,” Lucas disagrees, attention ahead on Mika and looking aggravatingly calm. His gaze drifts back to Eliott, a considering look in his eyes now. Eliott desperately wants to look away but finds himself trapped, staring back. “Though perhaps that’s unfair.” He smirks. “Twelve-year-old girl would probably wipe the floor with you on a playground.”
Eliott rolls his eyes. “Twelve-year-old girls aren’t to be messed with. You ever met one? They’d wipe the floor with both of us.”
Lucas’s mouth twitches and if Eliott didn’t know better he would say that was the beginning of a real smile. But he does. Know better.
“Anyways,” Lucas dismisses, “I’m not here to be a catch.” He parrots back the word as though the idea were utterly ridiculous – as though Eliott were utterly ridiculous.
“Right,” Eliott tears his eyes away from Lucas with some difficulty, focusing on where Mika has paused to read a patient’s chart, “you’re late getting here every day because you were reading bedtime stories to the kids in the cancer ward, I’m sure. Nothing to do with who you were fucking the night before.”
Lucas’s hand is suddenly wrapped around Eliott’s forearm, nails biting into the sensitive skin, pulling Eliott’s attention back to him immediately. “I’m sure it’s a shock to you,” he spits out, face mottled with anger, “but not all of us can rely on our looks to get us places, average.”
Eliott feels his face flood with heat. Out of embarrassment or anger he can’t be sure. Maybe a mixture of both. “Don’t call me that.” He wants to rip Lucas’s hand off him, but he doesn’t want to be the first to break their stalemate. Eliott locks his jaw, throwing as much spite into his glare as he can manage. Lucas’s nostrils flare.
“As much as I enjoy this sexy hateful banter thing you have going on,” Mika’s voice interrupts their standoff, “were you two planning on giving me your attention any time today, or should we continue without you?”
