17: If you owned a bookshop what would you call it?

What a great question! This is the kind of thing I could happily brainstorm at a dinner party, but my tentative answer is: A Clerk Ther Was.

27: If you could change one thing about mainstream literature what would you change? (i.e. more diversity, better writing, better plot etc.)

Wow. I’m going to say more diversity partly on principle, partly because I think that would go a long, long way towards solving the better writing part. I always want better writing. And I think giving access to more voices with different experiences, backgrounds, perspectives, etc. could only help that.

They seem to be held in the Library of Congress on microfilm (which is why they aren't digitized-not sure if there are plans to digitize). Might be in Syrett's series, Papers of Alexander Hamilton but overall they don't seem to be openly available?

I’ve briefly searched the Syrett papers, but I’ll look closer at it, thank you!

Excitement

Mediaeval-Muse and I have been co-writing an Agents of SHIELD fic since March, and we're going to start posting it Monday, and I am excited. That's why I haven't been posting any of my own fics lately-- fic tennis was going on behind the scenes. It all started when we were rewatching the Star Trek episode "The Naked Time," the one where an alien virus makes Sulu start fencing and Spock start crying and Kirk have feels about his ship, and I asked, "See, why can't Agents of SHIELD have any fun alien diseases like this?"

So stay tuned for "The Naked Bus." (Not that kind of naked. Not that kind of bus.)
