A little sound therapy to start your day. #Flutes and #ocarinas wind instruments that help balance the air element within us. They are wonderful for calming nervous tension when played slow and gentle. But when played quickly they inspire action and moving swiftly. When used for healing, they resonate with the sacral, throat and heart chakra. Ocarinas and flutes have been used as medicine in many cultures but are best recognized in Native American, Asain and Celtic healing practices. The first Flute was developed in China around 900 B.C. , whereas Ocarinas were first discovered in Mesoamerica and commonly used by the Mayans and Aztecs. The Explorer, Cortez, was the one to bring the instrument back to Europe. Cortez even went so far as to learn the Native's song and dance to demonstrate its use upon his return.
