I need a fantasy Necromancer AU. 

X summons a long-dead spirit to uncover the mysteries of some ancient ruins she stumbled upon. The spirit is confused but helpful and eager to interact with a living being again. X listens to the spirit’s past as they turn around every stone in this forgotten place until they’re surprised by a group of wandering priests/exorcists. They felt the “wrong” energy of a resurrected spirit and want to banish it back into the realm of the undead a.k.a the Netherworld. X, naive and pure as she is, does what everyone would do -- she binds the spirit to her soul and runs. Fast. 

The ghost, who earlier introduced himself as Betelgeuse, is moved by her passionate gesture to give him another chance, but both acknowledge that they’re now being hunted by those purists while having to deal with the consequences of being soul-bound. 

They flee and hide, searching for a way to give Betelgeuse a body of his own and to sever the bond, so he can truly join the living again. But not all is well between the two because the energies of the earth aren’t meant to interact and influence the powerful core of beings that have long since left their mortal shell behind. It changes both X and Betelgeuse and even though they wander the world together, both of them are very much alone in their own way.

Will they find a way to bring Betelgeuse back into the land of the living or will they suffer the consequences of their foolish actions?

reading latin is a wild ride at the best of times but reading medieval latin when ur scribe can’t be assed declining any proper nouns and u can’t tell who’s killing whom is...interesting
