After last week's dramatic meltdown
Finally. After 3 years of non stop schooling. After going back to school when my daughter was 4 months old. After changing my intended major and basically starting completely over. After becoming a single mom following my first semester, and then moving onward. After not allowing friends or an ex or anyone convince me it would be better to quit and find a job. After taking 20 credit hours over a condensed summer and making the Deans List. After joining AMSA with the hope of attending the national conference one day. And now, after changing my intended major one more time.
Finally. I'm 7 classes away from joining my program and getting my life moving. All this time feeling like I was just pedaling in place when really I was moving forward. Now I'm down to single digits. 7 classes could've been 1 last semester if the schedule wasn't against me. Fall 2018 I will finally join my universities school of medicine.
This passed month I've been happier (relatively) then i have been since Alice was born. I have recognized someone who has existed in my life for a very long time. I've recognized them as a person who has always been a guiding and supporting force. A loving force. A 5 am call telling me to get my ass up and go to school kind of force. And now I'm recognizing that this person could possibly become something more to me. And that makes me happier than I have words to express.
I want this time to fly by but I also want to cherish every minute.
