I met Cole yesterday, and I was crying and telling him how much Jughead meant to me, and he went "Aw c'mere gimme a hug" and he rubbed my back a little while I was crying.... IT WAS AMAZING

The Gold Coast
We were definitely warned that this was a touristy spot, but technically I am a tourist. While the locals highly recommended beaches like Noosa that would have less traffic and beautiful views we took a trip with a large group of class mates.
The view was breath taking. [you can see in my previous post]
The water was so blue! You could see the gradient of color as the depth increased. I wish I could find the words to properly describe it but I simply do not have the vocabulary for all those colors. The sand was white and very fine. It was postcard worthy.
Obviously our first touristy impulse was to take pictures/video as soon as we touched the sand. However, when you’re in a place like that the digital world loses importance rather quickly and phones stayed in bags as the water and company took priority. An hour train ride had given us the opportunity to make some superficial introductions but now was the time to talk about more personal experiences. As one of my classmates pointed out... putting a bunch of med students in a room always turns into a career fair social, producing resumes and seeking validation from our peers. It was refreshing to finally advance past that point and discuss topics that were unique or similar outside of what we had rehearsed for our interview several months ago. A shared 2.5L margarita definitely helped facilitate the ease of conversation. Overall I can genuinely say that a truly enjoy the company of these people and am very excited to call them my classmates.
After hours of sun and a couple close calls with some rip tides we were exhausted. Most of us could only focus on getting home to shower to fish the sand out of our suits and sleep.
