Name: Christopher, “Furf”
What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Call a Spade a Spade: Being Honest with Yourself
What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
Chariots of Fire by Vangelis, my Dad used to play classical music on the radio for me and my brother to help put us to sleep. That song is forever etched as my “Go get’um!” song! The Gambler by Kenny Rogers, “You gotta know when to hold’um, know when to fold’um, and know when to run!” Brand New Colony by the Postal Service, it got me through my 20’s and all the times I wanted to just escape from things.
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
College Algebra. That class chewed me up and spit me out! On a serious note, so far starting this business has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. There have been late nights and sleepless nights but in the end all the hard work has given me the opportunity to continue to follow my dreams and I am very proud of what SwagRobot has become.
What superpower would you have for one day?
No one could ever tell me “No”. I’d like to think I’d only use it for good and never abuse such great power but when then again when that 3 o’ clock lunch crash comes around it would be for the greater good to have Starbucks start delivering right?
If you could go back in time, what is one piece of advice you would give your younger self?
Take the blue pill. All kidding aside, I would tell myself to be honest to myself and be who you are no matter what. Don’t be the person you think other people want you to be, be the you that YOU want to be. Count your blessings and remember what they are when you need the strength to carry on.
Sometimes, but I’m not sure if I’d refer to it as “karma” or just Newton’s Third Law, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” I think the more good things you do, the more often that reaction leads to something equally good in return and vice versa. My Kindergarten curriculum consisted mostly of drawing with crayons and a daily recital of the Golden Rule. Maybe that’s why I still draw?
