Solo post without the multiple paragraphs of backstory. I guess I have a chance to actually explain what's happening here now. Moondancer is hugely insecure about her pregnancy and the identity of the father, since he's...unique. After she starts dating Trixie, Sunburst suggests they use a spell to change who the biological father is. No big deal in Equestria, many lgbt+ ponies do it when they want to have a foal but can't conceive on their own, though Moondancer is more far along than when most ponies who use the spell. They have to do some digging and finding out how the spell works specifically so they don't do something that could hurt Moondancer or the foal, and in the end they have to do some tweaks to the spell (Starlight and Sunset's specialties) but they succeed...for the most part. Trixie doesn't understand more difficult magic but she tries to learn as much as she can.
