I completely agree with everything you're saying this update is utter garbage. For me, it's making it hard to tell when someone is making a post of their own, or reblogging someone else's post. I'm so used to seeing the block quotes in there.

because when someone adds to a post they’re reblogging, instead of it showing up in POST FORMAT it shows up in COMMENT FORMAT. we have officially moved away from blog format as we knew it.

So me and Megabeartic have this cute rp going on based on this book series I read by M.L Rhodes where dragons are rebels and there's an evil magician trying to kill them all. Cory is the rebel leader while Avon is a spy that falls for him. Fluffy fun. With dragons. Can't go wrong with dragons.
