Oooooo, how did Megs and Op take Blitz's passing? What were their last moments with him like? <- wants to make blitzwing and by proxy, everyone else suffer

Short answer; BADLY.

Long answer; VERY BADLY.

Actual answer; under the cut.

Actual answer; The amount of guilt guilt guilt they’re all feeling. Optimus blames himself for pushing to get sparked. Honestly, he thought he’d be the only mech at risk, hence why he decided, against better judgment, to be the one sparked. Megs & Blitz are also carriers, either of them could have been the carrier for whatever children the three decided to have. But he didn’t wanna risk the wellbeing of his partners! And, despite how sucky the carrying experience was for the twins, he liked being pampered and cared for by them in those later terms! All that attention on him.. he would be okay with a shitty pregnancy if it meant he was the sole focus of his partners love and affection.

Megatron feels guilt about being the one to offer the solution that ended in Blitzwing’s death. He didn’t know- no one knew how it’d turn out. Ratchet warned them of risks, but the entire pregnancy was risky. At least, the way they did it, two of the 3 sparklings survived, as well as Optimus. Who knows, maybe Optimus could have died, along with all the sparklings.

They unknowingly sacrificed Blitzwing and the megop sparkling for the life of the blitzop sparkling.. and oh, these sparklings aren’t going to grow up in a very stable home. Megatron and Optimus, although probably not consciously, aren’t going to treat them as they should..

But back to Megop and how they feel before and after Blitzwing’s death. The last moment, was the night before. It sucked, how it went down, but they had fought. The actual words or reason for the fight was irrelevant, it was just a flare up of emotions and anger and pain. Of that spark consuming guilt and self loathing. They’re both deeply pregnant, now, and that’s def not helping their relationship and moods. And their partners health has only been in rapid decline. Everyday is worse than the previous, every complication stacking upon previous ones.

The kiddos listened to the fight, but they mostly did their own things. Kaze, the son of Blitzwing in the parallel timeline, had seen this Blitzwing as a temporary guardian, until he could find his way back to his true carrier. He was attached to him, got that gentleness they desperately needed. The other person in this timeline who Kaze has gotten deeply attached to is Little Red, so here he’s holding her as if she was a teddy bear. Don’t worry, she likes the arrangement, getting to feel small and cared for as he cradles her. They both get to feel small. It’s good for them.

And Schult, whose honorary sire is Blitzwing, was the one to find him after he passed, the following morning. But tonight, while’s he’s still online, Schult is busying himself with.. what is that. Writing letters..? Schult slowly became more and more reserved, but after his death, he shut down completely, entirely nonverbal and retreating on himself. Even his beloved twin, he’s shut himself off to.

Everyone is having a grand old time, clearly 🥰

i do like your idea of it, i addore adore the "living weapon" (its ups and its downs) trope, will always be a winner for me, and Blitzwing being so willing to give Megatron everything and everything up in this one-sided dynamic is my cup of tea! I also think Blitzwing agreeing to the triple-changer procedure for Megatron is cool but honestly that bit drives me nuts for lore reasons I like to tamper with.

As for your little Blitztron annon here, if I'm being more comedic it's "hey starscream's not here because hes a little traitorous shit and between Blitzwing and Lugnut Blitzwing's the closest to Starscream so...."

However, I'm not really a nice person. I like it horrible.

I've read a couple fan works that portray Blitzwing as desperate for connection. By virtue of his unstable processor and aberrant frame, not a lot of bots are willing to be close to him. My take is a bit like yours, with Blitzwing being rather obsessive, but skewing Megatron to be a bit more active. I enjoy the idea of Megatron being cunning and manipulative, I entertain the notion of the warlord bending his weapon in his servos.

Reformatted into a triple-changer to gain favor of the Lord, subsequently treated as a freak by everyone else. Megatron's smart; he keeps his inner circle full of the useful and the loyal. Blitzwing's the only triple-changer, and Megatron's the only one who doesn't treat him like something to be feared. Because it's Blitzwing who fears Megatron. It's Megatron's digits coiled around the cord. But the only one to look at him beyond the freak he believes he is is Megatron. The only one to give him a little of the care he so desperately lacks. He's loyal because there is no one else. Megatron knows this. It might have just been just lucky coincidence, but who's going to tell?

Maybe I'll have it end sweet if I ever write something for it. Maybe Megatron decides he actually likes his weapon for more than his brute strength. Maybe Blitzwing works through his own issues and finds more stability in his unstable self. Maybe not. We'll just have to see.

(Also, I love the idea of a Megablitz fan kiddo! I can't wait to see them!)

It’s about the isolation and finding connection only with the one you changed yourself for and Megatron would absolutely abuse this power he has but. Grabs him by the throat. He will love. He will realize that he wants a better future for the next generation of Cybertron, not just him and his mecha. He will fight for the power to give that future, instead of just to dominate.

(Insert joke about dominating Blitzwing in private because you know that mech is a bottom)

I have a vague idea of what Ripwire would look like. You know how Windblade has those turbines built into her wings? Ripwire has the same wings because that’s how I imagine a helicopter and a jet would mix. Baby’s also got some tank treads, but they act more like extra armor than functional treads since his parents are naturally flier-frames. I imagine him being more grey with purple as his secondary and that tan/beige color being simple accents. And also pointy as all hell, have you seen his parents before they scanned their Earth alts?

im actually curious, how do you view the Blitztron relationship working? b/c i got my own way(s) (plural, it skews sometimes) but im thinkin you've got your own way of thinkin about it and Im curious because theres not a lot of it around, yaknow? (I've only read one-two fics of it)

I am an absolute sucker for “I want to give everything to you including myself” sort of things like

In my headcanon, the reformatting surgery was something that Blitzwing (plus Octane and Astrotrain, “borrowed” from others’ headcanons) volunteered for. He said yes because then he would be more useful to the Decepticons and, more specifically, Megatron. And sure it’s unhealthy but also it’s The Decepticons, very little of them have healthy relationships.

It’s also partially the power dynamic. You’ve got this ancient warmonger and his pet living weapon and I just. Megatron watching as Blitzwing tears into another mech on the battlefield until he’s told to stop by Megatron himself. Blitzwing holding back on attacking a disloyal Decepticon cough cough Starscream because he wants to be perfect for his leader.

And then, maybe, in the bedroom, he can be that perfect Decepticon, just in a different way. He lives to serve his Lord any way he is ordered.

Anyways it’s not very healthy at first because one side is almost obsessive and the other doesn’t take it seriously because Megatron’s a little busy trying to win a war. It gets better as time goes on because damnit I want my boy to be happy.

I actually started shipping Megablitz when I thought about some things regarding the AllSpark shattering at the end of S1 and it’s destruction awakening long-dormant lines of code and activating the good ol’ nanite production and gestation tanks in every Cybertronian that has them. And, of course, the heat/rut cycles because mechanical beings acting animalistic is my JAM. I can spread that shit on toast and eat it all day.

So yeah no it can start out a couple different ways. Situation 1: It’s known among a lot of older mecha that Cybertronians used to reproduce sexually before the AllSpark became Cybertron’s primary source of life. Situation 2: The nanites and gestation tanks are actually a backup system in case the AllSpark failed for whatever reason. Either way, everyone gets really horny, so they all start to go at it. And interfacing is done recreationally because hey it feels good and has little long-term consequences and whoops that’s a sparklet. That is many sparklets. Everywhere. What do we do with all these tiny blobs that just came out of like half the population?

(I’ve actually got a Megablitz kid in the works; his name is Ripwire.)

So yeah no basically it boils down to “I want to give my all to you” x “I didn’t think you were actually serious about this and whoops I caught feelings for you” plus also some AllSpark shenanigans

This ended up a LOT longer than I expected it to but hey, that just shows how passionate I am about this. I’m looking forward to hearing your takes on it, Blitztron Anon!

YES OMG I LOVE MEGABLITZ! But honestly only seen it shipped in tfa while I prefer g1 or my own continuitie. Just the way Galvatron remembered Blitzwing and called him a good friend 👀👀👀 they def had some kind of thing together in the beginning of decepticons forming but fell apart as it progressed and now Blitzwing just has this insane twisted version of someone he once considered a close friend. In my au they were kinda of a thing. They met when they both were gladiators Blitzwing easily beat everybot there climbing to the top to get beaten by Megatron. And thats what got him interested in him and later on follow him in the civil war.
