Beep-0 + Megabug Beep-0 designs

Alright ramble time

When I first played through Sparks of Hope I thought that Beep-0 was going to get possessed by the Megabug because he kept using/gaining new Spark powers.

He didn't.

I was disappointed.

It would have been cool to fight against a Megabug possessed Beep-0. They could summon blocks using Twinkle's abilities, have a sound themed attack from Decibel's powers, or some water based attack from Drizzle. They could even have attacks based on the Beep-0's abilities in Kingdom battle.

In my opinion it makes more sense for the final boss to be a Megakug possessed Beep-0, because besides Spawny, Beep-0 is the only other character with a direct link to the headset and thus the Megabug as well.

Maybe Beep-0 ends up getting separated from the team and gets caught by the remaining code of the Megabug, or wanders off during an angry rant and then gets caught. Maybe the player has to free the three Sparks before being able to actually fight them, Perhaps the fight ends with JEANIE trying to reach out and bring Beep-0 back.

if the megabug/cursa had a more humanoid form. i wonder if it would take elements from bowser and Rosalina. (i also wonder if it would have a Glados like voice)

I really love this idea, I'd like to try and design it sometime... Maybe when the game has been out for a year and I feel a bit less bad were I to accidentally spoil a plot twist for people (however obvious it may have been anyway lol).

Onto the endless "to draw someday" list it goes!!

it would be a crazy plot twist if the megabug/cursa was secretly longing for a family. considering the 2 mario characters it controlled so far. bowser was seemingly orphaned as a baby but was adopted by kamek and had a son of his own. Rosalina was grieving over her mother but later adopted the lumas. it could even see Beep-0 as a sibling since Genius girl created him and the supamurge.

There's definitely something to explore here. I've talked before about the significance in it possessing two characters who, for all their vast differences, are both strongly associated with parenthood. And then the Megabug ended up making its own creations. But it seems to not grasp the ideal of love at the heart of family. I would imagine it realizes there is an appeal in family, something to emulate, but from the cruel way it treats even its "favorite" creations, it looks like its sense of family was born out of envy rather than true understanding. Maybe it wants to be loved, but not to love.

If it manages to survive the Cursa incident just like it somehow survived its first defeat, I wonder if there is opportunity for it/her to keep learning and growing.

But I think Juliano should have the Megbug from Mario and rabbids as a pet . Like he should tame that thang. As a pet. He should just show up wotj it one day and doesn't answer why he has that thing. It's the smoothie meme. He never explains how it happened. It just did . It's tame now apparently and no one knows how

He should treat it like a cat. He sprays it when it does smth bad. It curls around him whenever he's sad. It shrinks up whenever it wants to be held

Ok gn I need to sleep this medicine off and I'll probably regret this in the morning lol

i found out a way to make sparks of hope 3 times funnier by referring to Cursa as "the mega-bugs emo phase"

Muahahaha!! It's true. She even made a bunch of her own goth-adjacent OCs as well.

If only I'd had the guts to embrace a cool purple style back in my own emo phase instead of just wearing T-shirts and jeans and being depressed!
