Sometimes I think MCD Garrance was 100% written just with a platonic dynamic in mind, and at one point it probably was just that. The tension was initially a result of your typical high stakes you'd find in a fantasy setting, and then I get jumpscared by "man, you think if I got to visit him in that dream realm he'd be so happy he'd kiss me too?" and my vision immediately goes black

You're so right about that line being completely insane. They talk about kissing each other WAY too much to brush it off as two straight friends that flirt sometimes ಠ_ಠ
I think even when viewing them in a platonic light throughout the series, it's hard not to notice the very intentional little pieces thrown in there. For every "haha we're like brothers!!" comment, there's a very deliberate scene of them staring into each other's eyes and talking about one other in a very not straight way.
And honestly even IF it was fully written to be platonic, I don't think that takes away from how much chemistry they have romantically. I just can't imagine that not being intentional with how deep their connection goes.. there's no way Jess wrote one of the deepest and well thought out ships in the series by accident.. there's no way..

Zoeymau is so real to me. Not just in diaries, but in Mystreet too. I know they like HARDLY exist together in Mystreet, I think Zoey is only featured in one episode, but I still love them and will continue to make headcanons for them in Mystreet 💜💜 ty for the ask!!

So she's basically a rework of my very old mystreet oc from when I was like. 9 years old. Which I'll include photos of later on if I can find that sketchbook
She's a sea bunny—no logical explanation for this, she just is, and it's never addressed or questioned. And she's very aggressive. And that's basically all I got BSHSH. She's in Phoenix Drop high at the same time as Aphmau. She pretends to be really annoyed by Nana but she's actually really jealous of her.. but Nana is more gyaru in my little universe. Her and Aphmau have a weird rivalry I think.. No real reason for this. They just strike me as the type that are too similar so they'd wanna kill each other really bad.

He starts to stalk her and copy her mannerisms and grows bitter and jealous of her and Aaron because he's actually in love with Aaron and he wants to become Aphmau so badly and steal her life.. but he thinks he's just in love with Aphmau and doesn't realize he wants to literally become her
Then he snaps and kills Aphmau oops and then kills Aaron after he rejects him . OR alternative ending, Aaron is so broken up over the loss of Aphmau that he falls for Ein's attempts to replace Aph and manipulate him (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) is this too much. blink blink. hides the fanfic draft behind my back.
