When a Medium Meets Another Medium || Meilly
Sally always enjoyed doing any errands that were needed bright and early. The morning brought less people which definitely aided the red head. An influx of emotions from dozen of people often left her with headaches.
Though the people were less, the ghosts never were.
One ghost, Mrs. Atherton, an elderly spectre, was actually following Sally about. She often did in the morning when the red head had just come back from grocery shopping.
Today she wanted a taste of one of the apples Sally had bought. The ginger often felt for the dead, to be stuck in the in-between seeing everything of the living, but never able to partake.
It was so isolating and Sally knew how isolation felt.
Won’t you be a dear for me?
Sally laughed a little caving in and finding a bench nearby. She pulled one of the apples from her bag, but before biting it she spoke. “Come on.” Within moments, she could feel Ms. Atherton slipping into her skin. It was a feeling of death that Sally herself was all too familiar. Her body made the actions necessary to take a bite from the apple and only after Mrs. Atherton had swallowed did Sally allowed herself to come forward and push the ghost out.
“Was it good?” She asked, Mrs. Atherton smiled wide and nodded her.
It tastes just as good as I remembered, thank you dear, but we have someone staring. I don’t understand the younglings of this generation. Were they never taught by their parents that staring is rude?! Where are their manners?! It’s that new little medium I told you about. She’s staring at us like we are a pair of hooligan. Has she never seen a ghost before?!
Sally, gave Mrs. Atherton a stern look. “Don’t be so mean.” She turned to look at the girl now, making sure to place a kind smile on her lips. “She’s normally a lot nicer.”
