The Kagerou Daze Novel Anthology that fans have been eagerly waiting for is finally here!! In “Sounds of Summer” the members of the Mekakushi Dan all go to a beach house to complete a job, “Locked Up With a Classmate” depicts Shintaro and Ayano’s high school days, “Goodbye dreamforest” tells a tale of Marry and Seto where dreams and reality intersect, in “Special Sale War and Men’s Friendship” Shintaro and the boys of the Mekakushi Dan battle it out in a challenge, and “Memory” depicts the relationship between Haruka and Konoha in the summer beyond the Kagerou Daze. These 5 works were chosen as some of the best from over 1000 entries to the “Kagerou Project Novel Contest” hosted on pixiv. Check out how the story ends with your “eyes”!!

Kagerou project was my first full fandom experience. I joined tumblr because of it, HaruTaka was my first OTP, It was wonderful viewing the same fandom in my country and the global fandom, I’ve met many wonderful people. It was so fun, I was so committed back then. It was also me and my friend. Theorizing, screaming, crying, analyzing, singing, drawing, laughing, shitposting, memeing. Then I was less and less excited about it but I still have the special place in my heart for it. I remember fighting to get the novel or manga published in our country. It wasn’t successful tho. But there were people translating it and it isn’t something every fandom would get. I remember being mad at shaft but watching episodes without subtitles and then with english subs and then in my native language. Anyway. I’m thankful to Jin, Shidu, Wannyanpu, other people working on it. I’m thankful to the whole fandom.  It’s really nice. We are kinda dead, like the characters, but we stand up from ashes every year for this particular day and it’s awesome.
