Just finished our first art piece for the mekruh we adopted from @cadaver-callum

We're shamelessly stealing the name of the NPC from the Intro to Pathfinder panel from this past Centaurus Festival and naming them Summer Storm :3

Tâziye Yemeği

Rivayet edildiğine göre Cafer bin ebi Talib (radıyallâhu anh)'ın ölüm haberi gelince, Rasulullah (sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem) şöyle buyurdu: "Cafer'in ailesi cenaze defin işleriyle meşgul oldukları için yemek yapmaya fırsat bulamadılar. Siz onlara yemek götürün.'' (Ebu Talib El-Mekki, Kutü’l-Kulub; c:4 s:202)

Taziyede ölünün ailesinin yemek verip millete ziyafet çekmesi, bid'attir. O yemekten yemek, mekruhtur. Sünnet olan; eş - dost, akrabanın ölünün ailesine yemek getirmesidir.

قال ابن الهمام الحنفي: " وَيُكْرَهُ اتِّخَاذُ الضِّيَافَةِ مِنْ الطَّعَامِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَيِّتِ ؛ لِأَنَّهُ شُرِعَ فِي السُّرُورِ لَا فِي الشُّرُورِ، وَهِيَ بِدْعَةٌ مُسْتَقْبَحَةٌ ". انتهى من "فتح القدير" (2/142).

Cenaze evinde cenaze sahiplerinin yemek ziyafeti ver­meleri mekruhtur. Çünkü bu tür ziyafetler sevinç halinde verilirler. İçinde bulundukları durum ise musibet halidir. BU, ÇİRKİN BİR BİD'ATTİR. (İbnü'l-Hümam, Fethu'l-Kadir; 2/142)

TAZİYENİN MAKSADI Taziye; teselli etmek, acısını paylaşmak gibi manalara gelir. Taziyenin 2 mühim maksadı vardır: 1- Taziyeye gelenlerin, ölünün ailesini bu acılı günde yalnız bırakmayarak teselli etmesi, sabrı tavsiye ederek manevi destek olmasıdır.

2- Gelenlere ölümü hatırlatması ve tefekküre sevk edip kalpleri yumuşatarak dünyadan sıyırıp ahirete yöneltmesidir.

Halbuki bugün yapılan taziye merasimlerindeki ziyafetler, taziyenin asıl maksadının dışında, sünnete uygun olmayan işlerdir. Bundan dolayı taziye yerleri; insanların gelip yemeğini yediği, çayını içtiği, dedikodu ve boş muhabbetlerin havada uçuştuğu laklakhaneler haline geliyor. Ancak uzaktan gelen misafirler varsa, onlar tabi ki aç bırakılmaz, onlarla oturup hal-i hazırda olan yemeği yemede de bir beis yoktur.

Bir yakınını kaybetmenin üzüntü ve sıkıntısı içinde olan cenaze sahiplerinin, taziye için gelen misafirlere yemek hazırlayıp sunması ilave bir telaş ve sıkıntıya sebep olacağından mekruh görülmüştür (İbn Âbidîn, Reddü’l-Muhtâr, III, 148).

Coming into this realization the mekruh is very important actually its good I know my kintype as a grouse but I think mekruh is also a strong spiritual identity.

Kind of like a creature that is a story and example of who I am

I feel like mekruh specifically embody a lot of my relationship with prairie and grasses. I think in a way, mekruh are almost a way for me to kind of try and describe the living relationship you can have. Instead of using the traditional english "i am with the prairie" or "i like the prairie" which can imply a sort of otherness to the habitat.

Mekruh are me and you and also the prairie or whatever environment you like. I complete mekruh duties like spreading seeds and making nests or plucking dead grass.

Mekruh are mythical fictional creatures that exist in a space where they can jump from person to person and impact them. They have an advantage of not being a physical animal so they can spread more rapidly. I feel like mekruh are just as alive as anything else.

So I need to start writing down more lore in a mythical fashion I think to really get the ball rolling and I think I was missing that previously.

So expect that coming up ;)

Out and about in colorado gotta say very grouse friendly vey mekruh friendly there are at least 5 grouse species in Colorado while texas has 1 and its critically endangered lol

The different biomes that are only about an hour or two away blows my mind and is also very kin euphoric! I think my habitat would be something similar where you cam go from a dense forest to sagebrush to desert to icy steppe and swamps

My favorite environment so far has been prairie sagebrush where there are pronghorns and miles of different brush and grass. While texas has this it prioritizes agriculture and has horrific biodiversity colorado does not seem to do the same.

My second favorite is the steppe or mountain side areas with some vegetation scattered across rocks and sheer cliffs very mekruh core very good for flying!
