update, so this is also posted on my @visibilityofcolor blog but I also want to post it here so that it can show up in her tags as well! she has my blogs blocked so she cannot see this nor it is it my intend for her too--but it’s important for me that people looking in her tag see this so they know harmful she is. i also don’t check this blog either but just wanted to post it here especially since as of yesterday he is still mentioning/harassing me.

I absolutely hate that I have to do this, but no matter what I try to do, the harassment keeps coming back up.

That said, I have created a detailed callout document for ladynephthyss/melanthae or opehlia. This google doc complies her transmisogyny, her support of tranadrophobia and the racist/transmisogynstic creator and community, her racism, her harassment, her suicide baiting, her lies and the way she explicitly targets black people and opens them up to be racially harassed.

a lot of you may know her as the ‘hot girl summer girl’ or the girl who made another variation of hotgirlsummer and was harassed for it. and while she didn’t deserve to be harassed, that doesn’t excuse her anti blackness, her transphobia and her dangerous personality in general.

It goes without being said, but ladynephthyss and her friends, do not share, interact with me or comment on this post.

tw lesbophobbia, anti black racism, slurs, transmisogyny, stalking, suicide baiting, etc. Opehlia is not a good person, at all. She is actually terribly, esepcially to Black women and trans people.

I feel (and it’s silly) embarrassed self reblogging my writing especially when it gets next to no notes. How do you push past that? Is it rude to ask friends or mutuals to bump up things? What is good and polite conduct?

I always push past it by just acknowledging it. People don’t mind if you reblog your own writing. The majority of people do it. The “morning reblog” and “self reblog” tags exist for such a purpose. It’s half-expected. It’s like going on a tiny promo tour. Sometimes I throw a little teasing tag like “#at this point I’m just nagging” just to show I’m not super serious: I just want to do a little promo. No harm in that, as long as you aren’t actually nagging people.

Naturally, it’s nice etiquette to support your friends. But what that looks like is different for different people.

As for asking people to signal boost things: I think that’s a question I’ll open up to the group at large. My feeling is if you have a comfortable relationship with someone where that’s okay with both parties: totally fine! If not, I think that’s something you have to feel out. I personally dislike being asked to plug content. But that’s not true of other people — and it may make me a bit of a pill. Who knows?
