I’ve been sitting on this one for a couple of weeks.  I’m not really sure why I didn’t immediately post it.  Melbourne Cans are Melbourne, Australia based band, and are on Lost and Lonesome Records (”Moonlight Malaise” is still one of my favorite Aussie releases).

It seems like Melbourne Cans is continuing to create epic music with vocals that remind me a bit of Okkervil River, The War on Drugs (”A Shape in the River”) and Tom Petty.

This one is for Max. This was the last song I played on the night but cut it short just as it was getting really good. So, apologies to Max, here is the full version. While I am making apologies I may as well throw in one to Slee for the fact that "Dream Police" was the last song he heard on the way home. Gee, random playlists are a bitch.

I could listen to this song over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and then I would start it once more and listen to it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

This is Melbourne Cans and their album Moonlight Malaise is excellent. I have been playing it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I am sure they are from Melbourne or they just like beer in red cans. I would have saved this for Augustralia III but I couldn't because I can't get this song out of my head. Rock it and enjoy.
