Yes I played Dragon Age: Veilguard and yes I finished it! I have a lot of feelings about the game, both good and bad, but overall I'm content we got a conclusion to Inquisition (and the series overall)'s storyline... among other happy endings :'> Anyway I wanted to visit Melitta again since I didn't finish her Timeskip design before the game's release, and I figured I'd also throw in her Dread Pup, Oriana, since I've officially made that official in my canon.

This is a redraw of the very first concept bust I painted of her 10 years ago!! I'm incredibly rusty at painting/rendering so I thought this was a good opportunity to try at it again 😭 I love my bbyg so much.

With Dreadwolf Veilguard on the horizon, I realized I need to get back into DA:I and finish my two main playthroughs-- and of course, jumping into it made me want to revisit my bby Melitta, both design-wise and story-wise! I'm so happy with how she turned out, she's still the same overall but the small changes made for such a great glow up Q A Q)/) And I'm not sure if you can see it here but just in case: yes, her cheek branches extend onto/into her ears! It was a happy accident but I think it looks so cool, so it stays. *o*

Story-wise, ya girl's still a Spirit Healer, though she’s far more fleshed out and lore-compliant now, with a fairly legitimate reason for consorting with spirits despite being Dalish. <:’D Tho NGL, revisiting her made me completely nostalgic for the early DA Community days. How many ppl are still around from back then? ; o ;)a

Oooh, sure!!  <33  Annalissa would absolutely kiss Melitta…

…on the nose because all the little things Melitta does makes Annalissa unspeakably happy.  Even just getting a personal barrier when she already has her guard up or realizing that Melitta was thinking about her when she wasn’t around is enough to brighten Lissa’s whole day.  And whenever Melitta smiles at her, Lissa can’t help but smile back.

…on the lips because Lissa really and truly loves her.  Melitta’s not just another lover to Annalissa; she is exactly what Lissa needed when she needed it.  Someone to hold onto when she’s uncertain, the light in her darkest hours, the person she can finally - finally - protect, no matter what.  It would fluster her to have to admit it,  but she firmly believes that meeting Melitta must have been the Maker’s will, and she thanks Him every day for it.  :)

…on the neck because although she knows that no person can truly ever belong to another, she thinks of Melitta as her partner in life and proudly declares the fact for all to know.  She can’t see a day where she wouldn’t want Melitta by her side.

…over the wrist because she does find Melitta beautiful in the most classical sense.  However, Lissa is humbled more by Melitta’s inner beauty than her outer.  Annalissa has only ever been good at destroying, at killing; she is awed by Melitta’s capacity to heal and create.

…on the palm of her hand because Lissa is fully aware that she is hopelessly, irrevocably in love with Melitta.  Melitta’s had her heart in the palms of her hands nearly from the first day they met; Lissa couldn’t pull away if she wanted to.

...on the stomach because there’s really no denying that one.  Melitta is beautiful, and there are days when Annalissa wishes that the world was empty except for them, if only so that they could remain under the sheets together for just a little while longer.  :)

 …on the knuckles because while Annalissa is naturally protective of those around her, she is especially sensitive to what others will think of her elven lover.  Having grown up in the midst of political intrigue and rigorously taught the ‘natural order’ of things, she takes umbrage at the idea that her feelings for Melitta may expose the blonde to hurt or danger from bigoted hypocrites.  Melitta teases her for it, but Lissa would rather overreact to every little thing than see Melitta hurt on her account.

…on the fingertips because Lissa cares deeply about Melitta.  All she wants is for Melitta to be happy, at the end of the day.  Her duties as Inquisitor keep her busy, but she still does her best to do right by Melitta, always setting aside time to spend with her and make sure she’s doing alright.

…and on the knees because whatever else is going on in their lives, Annalissa’s main goal is to support Melitta in everything she does, even if it’s in a decision that puts distance between them.  She knows that Melitta’s life is her own, and for as long as Melitta allows her to be a part of that life, she’s going to encourage Melitta to do the things that she wants to do.  :)
